How to select part of voxel sculpt to scale or adjust proportions?

This pose tool is great in Surface mode but now i need to let stored the selection done, for use it after make some changes in another part of the model im not talking about Save Selection -thats works fine- Im talking about polygroups Is there any workaround ? ty in advance -

hmmm... curve tool draw 4 points apply switch to MOVE selection (below apply button) without press New Curve select every red ball point with LMB and move every one a bit apply and so on i duno how to move the whole curve regards

Is there any chance to develop a SUBDIVIDE or INCREASE RESOLUTION option... NON DESTRUCTIVE ? Make a new ADJUST TOOL named SUBDIVIDE Make it NON DESTRUCTIVE ADD it like a new operator for every Layer. Actually is the [x1] [x2] reference. Add a new menu option with step upward / step formard And you have multires sculpt without need to cache it

erhhh... Change of proportions With gradient allocation is easy to change proportions of parts of a body. Is this tool pose ? How can i use a weight map to do gradient allocation ? Calculating of global illumination Global illumination (occlusion) can be calculated and baked to texture. Where is this feature o_O ? ty

its me, or with V4 the extended menu windows close more fast ? suppose i select a voxel layers and need to subtract to another layer... i press RMB but is hard to select the layer needed because the layer menu list close so fast, and... if you move the cursor outside the menubox, its close too immediately. Is there any setting that user can change in preferences ? or the time to get the menu popup open is internal, fixed and default ? ty

let me try to example that: ------------ Padding is the subject trunk: and there is 2 branch: - File -> Export Model > In the Export options window that pops up there is a check box for "Create Padding". - Also, in Edit -> Preferences there are settings for padding and padding width. This is a little example about 2 ways to achieve same result. ------------ What if you need to bake ? bake from voxels, bake from surface, with an external model, with an external model with UVs, using ppp or ptex from paint room... or from retopo... see ?... there are some ways. Hard to explain using only words, and to see videos is slow learning. How its works using routing workflow ? A first Square named BAKE have 2 branches - 3dcoat model - imported model And every branch continue to the next workflow step... the new users only need to follow step by step in an easy graphically learn --------------- let me back to the first example, see attach (done using FreeMind opensource program) ty

Can i ask ifs possible to add a dynamic routing workflow ? Using 3DC there is not an only way to achieve same results. May be to add a graphical routing can help the new users to understand -in a fast way- what to do.

well... is NOT clear for the new forum users how submit a bug using mantis. And is not clear that Andrew use mantis like bug reporter over the forum. So the new user only see and use a SUPPORT sub forum and no mantis. - i suggest to add a sticky in every support subforum telling about mantis. Do you know Mantis ? 3DC Bug report site And... All new release V4 have bug fixes... but there is not more development to V3 Next... back to the future report: ------------------------ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- But but... the beta users are the bug reporters... How can they report new features bugs, if team devs freeze the new features development ?

Multi-Res sculpting You can sculpt on any subdivision level to make gross shape adjustments while preserving fine detail you added earlier at a finer subdivision level. This also lets you add extremely fine detail without having to explicitly add more geometry in detailed areas.

Well... sad you need to take this decision yes... randomly V4 corrupt the files when save its... i loose some works too. For my day by day work im using V3 ---------- Separate the stages is needed - V4: new features. If users need its, they can buy V4 or upgrade from V3. V4 is a new beginning of development until the release of v5. New features add bugs, so must be very clear what release is stable or unstable - V3: Stable version Users needs a truly stable version, ready for a day by day work. V3 was an stage of development from V2, and will be great to try to build an almost bug free version. -------------- some software add a comment: stable / unstable to their releases... why not 3DCoat ? and last... Will any moderator add the label HIGHLY EXPERIMENTAL to this V4 thread please ? regards !
