im posting here the news because found it in another forum. THE NEW CHARACTER CREATION CONTEST HAS LAUNCHED! Our last contest was all about Fantasy and we received some amazing entries (which you can view here and here). If you haven't seen the winning submissions, make sure to check them out. This month, the contest is all about Zombies: Create yours and maybe even animate it using Mixamo's free Auto-Rigger and Zombie animations for a chance to win the following prizes: 1st Place: $1000 cash prize, 50 Mixamo credits 2nd Place: $500 cash prize, 30 Mixamo credits 3rd Place: $250 cash prize, 15 Mixamo credits Frankenstein Prize: $250 cash prize! How it works: - Create a Zombie Character - Don't exceed a maximum of 15,000 triangles - Create a Work in Progress post on a 3D community forum) Once you are done with your work, simply go to the Contest Page and submit: - A beauty shot rendering of your Zombie (maximum resolution of 2048x2048). - Maps to showcase your work -- diffuse, alpha, normal, specular, specular color, glow are accepted -- in a maximum resolution of 2048x2048. - The URL to your WIP post - Optional: If you want to qualify for the Frankenstein prize, you can apply a Mixamo Zombie animation to your character and submit either an .fbx file or a YouTube video URL showing your animated character. if you added -before render- some camera shortcuts... the camera shortcuts conform a path the turntable camera follow the camera shortcuts path using your current point of view, close spline play a forward/reverse animation... just to dont break the turntable continuity when you play all the rendered frames in a cycle
-
erh... up right, camera, rotate around object bound box ? and Move around shortcuts. Move camera around interpolate trajectory that goes through camera shortcuts Closed spline. Use this option if you have several camera shortcuts set up in the scene. In this case ‘camera flight’ trajectory will be closed.

http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?216113-Brecht-s-easter-egg-surprise-Modernizing-shading-and-rendering&p=2216058&viewfull=1#post2216058 Agus3D has worked on moving bumpmapping to per-shader level, and sooner or later that should include support for normal maps. Since Bumpmapping (or Normal Mapping) isn't really considered a displacement method, in the future there will be a separate displacement option, too. When can you expect this change to enter Blender? At some point in the future. There's no deadlines involved. The posts below the upper link add a nice information/discussion about NM vs BM vs VD, if any1 like to read. -
