  1. Displacement is exported using the difference of a vertex's position and its position on Layer 0. Vertice positions will be taken from Layer 0. This is the preferred option for low-poly export. Dont use it for paint, 3DC use it. ----- Will be better by default to make it locked, or name it Mesh layer... let me make a feature request http://3d-coat.com/mantis/view.php?id=918

  6. my POV in middle of this brainstrom - priority now is to find/kill bugs until the v4 release -roadmap say in 2 months- - Correct some misspelling and standard naming. - Tweak some tools location to make 3C workflow more ergonomically comfortable. - Optimize 3DC code to speed up the work. - after V4, to begin the interaction designer era ready for a v5 release -long term development-

  9. Voxel Room is an old name ready to be changed -old v3 legacy- Is Sculpt Room where you can find 2 Sculpt modes Voxels: good mode to make the overall shape. We begin here. Surfaces: better mode to add details before to do a retopo stage If you switch to surface mode (pressing the V -voxel mode- in the layer name switch the object to S -surface mode-) And now You yes can paint the object at paint room and back and forth between paint and voxel.

  11. i strong support all but -from my pov- 7) Change "Voxel" Room (tab) to "Sculpt Room" At this room we Sculpt, is advance isnt advance... new users dont worry about it...   12. i duno... in my opinion 3DC GUI is fine, need some tweaks for sure the biiiiiiiiiiggggg deal is: - Standard naming convention - Up to date terminology rename: Lot of titles/tools/rooms are still using old v2 v3 names. Voxel Room (?), VoxTree(?)... - And last but not less important: Please GROUP every tool in the same window following a WORKFLOW. An example ? Sure... look at this Philnolan request about Moving Proxy Visualization. >>>>> Easy to do... but ENORMOUS time saver !! <<<<<
  13. The work Andrew/Raul done with stability and bug fixing really shows. I prefer the dev team focuses in stability update until V4 release. And to do in between some UI tweaks. Because i duno how modular the 3DC code is. To remake UI adding changes and new features can make the code explode ? Anyway... if its modular may be is time to split the dev team, with a new team member focused in the UI changes. Just for a few time... to speed up skyrocket the V4 final release. Thats will make it shines like deserves.
