Take me 6 months to understand 3DC, lol Every Room is like a program by itself You begin sculpting at Voxels Room the general shape Converting the Voxel Mode to Sculpt Mode let to add details Using LC let to add fine details From voxel room to paint room have 2 ways - Vertex painting when you are in Sculpt mode, and - Making Retopology, UVset and sending the retopo model to paint room (Merge) Merge PPP if you need to export Normal maps Merge Microverts if you need to export Displacement maps Merge Ptex if you need to export Ptex maps. Now at Paint Room you can add layers and blend like Photoshop. From Paint room you can use 2 new room: Tweak and UVroom Tweak Room is used if you need to change some shape proportions UVroom let to change/add UVsets. If you change anything dont forget to apply UV-set to see this changes updated at Paint Room. Render room is render room, nothing more

Ty alvordr: I cant find the way... so opened a Mantis Feature Request Feel free to add a +1 -------------------------------------------------------- http://3d-coat.com/mantis/view.php?id=830 0000830: Export model - add Reduction Tool Option preserving the UVset When you export the model from Voxel room, there is a windows popup: The Reduction Tool allows you to reduce the polycount before export to obj. But at Paint Room... export model only have 2 Export Resolution options: Export low-poly mesh Export mid-poly mesh Its possible to add a 3rd option: The Reduction Tool So we dont worry if we paint a high dense mesh... always we can decimate the final model at export. ------------------------------------------------------------ But please is very important - To preserve the UVset. The edges marked as seams cant be altered/moved. - To bake the paint layers from high dense mesh to the new decimated low mesh. - An option to triangulate/quadrangulate the model before export to obj. TY !!

Hi Its possible ? i have done a 55K faces model, with UVset and textures Now... I need the same model with 18K faces. Im merging without voxelizing at Voxel room... and Decimate the model 66%, its looks ok... but after the process the UVset and textures are lost Is there any way to decimate a model keeping UVset and textures ? cant find the way ty in advance and regards

I see... well... there is an option if you dont feel good using the Custom Navigation Presets Camera Customize Navigation There you can build your own Setup navigation hope it help
