  1. This video demonstrates some issues one may encounter when importing low-poly meshes into 3D Coat's Sculpting workspace..especially in Surface mode...and how to handle them correctly
  2. Sorry but, why you need voxel not surface mode ? The model is very detailed, need an extreme voxel resolution to keep all the details. I was looking at the model, first needs a cleaning process before it can be imported into 3DC, it has duplicate vertices, edge loops opens and floating geometry.
  3. 0000454: Detach windows from 3DC main window 0001912: Windows dock finetunning: lock, collapse, place, floating Any +1 is welcome ------------- * I'm for an interface like maya, docking panels could be great.
  4. http://wacomcintiqpro.wacom.com/ Wacom today announced that it will be expanding its Cintiq Pro lineup with two new graphics tablets. They’re designed for photographers, illustrators, and graphics designers who want a larger digital canvas than has been previously available. The two tablets will have edge-to-edge glass screens that measure 24- and 32-inches in size, greatly expanding upon the currently Cintiq Pro lineup, which only has 13-inch and 16-inch tablets. Here’s a graphic showing how the new tablets will compare in size with the existing ones: The upcoming tablet displays will be 4K with one billion colors and “maximum color accuracy” — the existing 16-inch tablet offers 4K resolution as well — and will have Pro Pen 2 technology. That’s a stylus with a whopping 8,192 pressure sensitivity levels. At $2,000 and $3,300, they will naturally be the most expensive options in the Cintiq Pro line-up — the current 13- and 16-inch versions cost $1,000 and $1,500, respectively.
  5. Smart Material Preview disappears, confirmed. - Stretched textures using From Camera projections, anyone ?
  6. https://www.chaosgroup.com/news/render-legion-and-corona-join-chaos-group-family Today is a big day for visualization. We are excited to welcome Ondra, Adam, Jaroslav and the entire Render Legion team to Chaos Group! Corona is fast, it’s easy to use, and renders beautifully. From the beginning, our mission has been to help all artists and designers visualize anything they can imagine, and to push the boundaries of what rendering can do. Render Legion shares this same vision and together we believe that great visualization benefits us all. The first thing you should know is both Corona and V-Ray are here to stay. Both products will continue to be developed independently by the same teams that you’ve come to trust, with the same level of innovation that you’ve come to expect. Now we can share ideas, research and technology to make both renderers as powerful as possible. One advantage of being an independent company is you get to choose your own path. What’s exciting about Render Legion is they come from that same mindset, which makes it easy for us to work towards the same vision. Together, we’ll continue our commitment to the industry and to our communities.
  7. For best results I would suggest to go to the advanced interface in the Rhino mesher and enter 0 in all fields (also uncheck simple planes): Only enter a number of at least 256 in one field: Initial Quads. That setting gives you a reasonably dense mesh quickly. Also it makes sense to convert extrusions to polysurfaces before meshing as Rhino's mesher wants to keep extrusions Low Poly by all means - this might answer your "break up large polygons" comment. - Export Rhino Layer/group names = Dont export layer group names
  8. I export 32-bit displacement maps. It works really well. Here are the export settings I use: - Another export option is this one
  9. If are you asking for ZSketch (adaptive skin conversion) equivalent inside 3DC, this workflow can be a solution.
  10. - Is there a way to adjust the transparency of the curve. No, it isnt. - Any way to clone curves. Sorry but no. - Is there a way to merge extruded curves with the main curve or other curves in order to get a smooth transition ? No ----------------------------------------------------------- Hope this help
