Hi !, it's not bugged or anything don't worry. You actually did NOT "cut out" anything from the original layer, where everything still exist, yes. So, when you did 'Objectify Hidden', a new layer with a _copy_ of the hidden was just pasted in, rather than a cut/paste equivalent, as everybody instinctively assume when first using vox hide (I swear, everyone make the same assumption, I did too at first ). So, after you get your objectified_new_part, mouseover the original layer, press 'h' to select it easily, and then go back to the geometry menu to use 'delete hidden'. You can then check, by using 'unhide all' that it worked as intended.

Use as Weight Map is = no ? Popup Color channel (C) or Quick panel (~) allow to change opacity values to paint mask layer. Basically where any paint is, regardless of color, is considered a mask. To get a simple black and white mask to work as a clipping mask as one would expect. i.e. how photoshop operates its not posible atm. It should work that way, but doesn't. To equate to PS, all paint is white, or clipped. To reveal, use the eraser tool. * This keys are useful too: Increase transparency of texture (P”) Decrease transparency of texture (O)

Set scenes to meters before importing any of the assets into 3d coat helps ? Will be great If I could add my input also, during import, some dimensions panel should display the physical size and global position of the imported mesh, and allow for resizing, scaling, rotating and adjusting, before the mesh is committed.

Hi! Really looks outstanding. It is really big achievement. But ZB has one advantage why realtime preview is possible. Multi Z-buffer based drawing not entirely based on GPU allows z-sorting and it leads to possibility of realime previrew of booleans. With purely GPU rendering does not allow it... Andrew

Can you share the model ? Which workflow are you using ? Metalness and Specular are two different ways of working. Do you apply UV-set and bake before switch back to Paint Room ?- 14 replies

It is possible that your voxel/surface mode object is hiding the baked normal map model. If this is the case under the View window deselect "show voxels in paint room" I have been able to achieve much higher quality by using a combination of high resolution textures and a nice high resolution mesh/UV.- 14 replies

Create a new Project pressing Shift + M > Switch to Paint UV Mapped... option selecting any default models.. Use fill tool. Can fill the whole object ?- 14 replies

Latest version have great improvement on textures quality, give it a try. Bake Ambient Occlusion again using this command and this parameter, i always avoid to use AO option when bake from retopo Room. Calculate Occlusion in Paint room make better maps. Hope this help.- 14 replies
