  1. Hi Please check your preferences. Are you using RT Padding > Take interpolated color as default ? Try Naive padding, will help.
  2. Is better to import the model as it, making all modification on your original app before import the model adding subdivision inside 3DC. 3DC is a sculpt app, not for hardsurface modeling. Subdivision Surface modifier is an open request. For painting please check this video

  12. You can fully customize the navigation to your liking. On the top right corner of the 3D viewport is a "camera" button, click it. Camera > Customize Navigation. For all of the navigation settings, turn on (check it) both "Inside the object" and "Outside the object". You'll be creating conflicts with other functions (such as brush size and depth) and need to change them to another function if you want to use them without hotkeys. You might also have some other conflicts that I'm unaware of, but that should set you on the right path to customizing the controls how you want them.
  13. There isnt an equivalent on preferences. To speed up your workflow to buy a mouse or pen tablet can help a lot.

  16. Hi In a matter of seconds in 3DS Max/Maya and then import it to 3dcoat. That i think could be the fast way. Or create Primitives > FreeFormPatch with Thickness = 0.1
