Are you using the latest version 4.7.34 ?
-
Please contact about this issue Support@3dcoat.com Thank you
-
Are you making LOD models ? Sadly is not possible at this moment, may be in future developments.
-
You can hide/unhide elements using paint objects and surface materials popup windows.
-
If your model is at center of global space, can use 2D grid to snap rectangle to center.
-
Looks like poligonal modeling with lattice deformation. Make one section, use radial symmetry to make a tube and then use pose tool lattice mode to deform. Sculpt fine details.

[Solved] Import/Export Daz 3dc
Carlosan replied to Kargall's topic in SOS! If you need urgent help for 3DCoat
Hi ! Is Teleblender addon useful for you ? -
May be the option View Show voxels objects in paint room is on ? and you are polypainting a surface mesh ?
-
You could also merge the high poly model into the Voxel Room, and 3D Coat will bake all the color information onto the vertices of the model in the process. So, you basically have your texture map converted to Vertex paint. If it looks good enough in the voxel room, you can import the low poly into the Retopo room and use that as your Retopo mesh. Then simply go to the Retopo menu and merge to PPP or MV mode
-
Could you please try this other ?

Ethan Hiley discussed the way you should approach building guns for modern AAA games. If you're interested in modeling, texture, animation - you might find some interesting tips here. https://80.lv/articles/production-of-3d-weapons-for-video-games/

I was reading his workflow. He said: Sam Olesen Thanks! I decimated all the meshes in surface mode and then let 3D-Coat just do an automatic UV map in paint mode. Link - Decimate - Export Scene Then in Paint Room > Import .Select ImportAuto-mapping option

Hi ! As long as you aren't running the program on both computers simultaneously, 3D-Coat has no issues with you installing it on up to three different machines. If you happen to have it running on both machines at the same time, 3D-Coat will warn you about it, and eventually restrict your usage. Basically, make sure the program is closed on the other machine before opening it on your current one.
