  6. Hi mentalray Please check this post about same issue Use Edit > Relocate 3DCoat's data You may relocate 3DCoat's data folder in this dialog. Usually it is in MyDocuments, but you may place it in any other location.
  7. Is better to copy all folder content to the same folder before delete it. I usually do this. There is an open feature request about this topic, if you want to add your opinion. Thanks. // Option is added: Use Edit > Relocate 3DCoat's data You may relocate 3DCoat's data folder in this dialog. 8. 3DC optimizes geometry when changing modes. As you can see in these examples, although the number of vertices is the same... the surface version is smoother. VERTEX SURFACE
  9. Snap to 3D grid can be useful too. Glad to help
  10. On both Linux and Windows you can easily create a symbolic link to refer to another location, I hope this little trick will help you. See more here: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/16226/complete-guide-to-symbolic-links-symlinks-on-windows-or-linux/

  12. 1. Import the daz model Turning on Import Tiles as UVset. 2.If you have applink working, use send to get the Blender model imported into 3DC -> When you finish with your painting, use this command to send it back to Blender saving model and textures in the folder that 3dcoat uses to export Then on Blender use GetBack to import model and painted textures into Blender. Note: Use G3 figures or G8 figures without eyelashes. G8 has its eyelashes as a separate piece of geometry and when you export that out the eyelashes actually gets merged with the face and that causes issues with painting. But with G3 there is not separate piece of geometry over here for separate eyelashes. * If you like to use G8 figures before exporting the model remember to delete eyelashes pressing RMB over the model layer and select Delete G8 eyelashes. - To export the model without textures be ready that Collapse UV tiles and and Write surfaces are not enabled. - To export the model with textures be ready that Collapse UV tiles is not enabled and Write surfaces is enabled. - At export, Export UVsets as tiles must be turned ON. 14. Are you using the latest version 4.7.34 ?
  15. Please contact about this issue Support@3dcoat.com Thank you
  16. Are you making LOD models ? Sadly is not possible at this moment, may be in future developments.
  17. You can hide/unhide elements using paint objects and surface materials popup windows.
  18. If your model is at center of global space, can use 2D grid to snap rectangle to center.
  19. Looks like poligonal modeling with lattice deformation. Make one section, use radial symmetry to make a tube and then use pose tool lattice mode to deform. Sculpt fine details.
  20. May be the option View Show voxels objects in paint room is on ? and you are polypainting a surface mesh ?
