  1. ALways run the virus scanenr in silent mode. and that blcoked log.txt because it's in protected mode. Figured that out after switching to normal mode. It now runs. But sadly it lost all the screen customization. At least it's starting.
  2. I installed 3Dcoat 4.9.49 Tried to start it, I see thelogo screen. and after that nothing happens. Did a system restart, still nothing happens. Checked event log. And 3Dcoat is crashing.   3. I wanted to get some materials. Now you need to buy credit's, That's not the problem i have paypal. Problem is why is materials.3dcoat.com not supporting paypal. it's one of the biggest payment systems for europe. In other words i cannot buy credits now. I need the paypal option.
  4. @Carlosan Yes flat shade is on. It does not make any difference. If i use the eraser tool it still shows a bledn shadow. Going to try different UV map and see what happens. The grey part is how it looks after the eraser. I just made the cream color brown to. And the fading is still there. ADD: I made my own UV map. that have all split faces, nothing is joining each other. Then 3D-Coat is making shapr lines. So, still why thinks 3D-Coat it need to make a soft blend between 2 faces if the uv-map joining it as a big tile ?
  5. Correction, sorry. Just tried to paint that red part on the UV-Map. It does not make any difference. This i painted straight on the UV-Texture in the Texture editor. I keep that shadow. The shad only goes away when i p[aint the cream color in the same purple one.
  6. I know that workflow of paint straight on the UV-Map worked. problem is that with this 3D-Coat unwrap it's extreme hard to find the right parts. Still not figured out why you could paint correct on the uv-map but on the object it did strange things. So, i need to try tounwrap it correct this time in blender. For some reason a bit trick with this object to unwrap and not get wrong rotated tiles etc. While it would be so easy if 3D-Coat just did not do some strange blending. Like to know why 3D-coat is doing that blending between red and cream color. I cannot believe there's no option to disable it. More testing needed here !
  7. That is what i use all the time. And that gives me sometimes a different color between 2 colors. Sorry to say that does not work always. Still asking myself can the UV tile size be a problem. Problem is that you cannot set in 3D-Coat the minimum UV-Tile size ?
  8. Update, i just found option "Native Padding" that make things better. Also figured out that the problem face is is put in a set with 2 other faces and is just between the 2. Used the auto rigger in 3d-coat, it's doing a perfect job for this object. But, still not figured out why 3d-coat is doing still autoblending when i need a hard color change between the 2 faces.
  9. I have a problem i do not get solved for days. It got better. but still not perfect. I try to paint faces, just with a simple solid color. But as soon i start to paint a face next to other face. The colors sometimes fade and everything get screwed. Why is 3D-Coat add color blending for one face to other face ? It's really soemthing i do not see why it happens. Bigger problem, i cannot find how to turn it off. tried padding, IslandDistancPercent, Flat Shade. Nothing really seems to helps. Now working with a 2048 texture that not make any difference to. 3D-Coat keeps painting into other UV part that's complete seperated on the UV-Map to. While it only need todo one thing, fill that face with the color i selected up to the edge of the face. Depth and Glosiness are turned off when filling a face with the Brush tool -> single polygon.
  10. I use 4.8.04 But the older version have the same problem. With the mouse, and am in doubt if it's the software or something in windows. I see the problem with the mouse the move with some actions to Left or right of the screen more. The RMB trick am very happy with, because that tool works fine. Need to see if the old rotation icons can be removed from interface. The yellow manipulator works fine. It's the old manipulator that is doing strange.
  11. I use windows 10 pro, 2x 2K screens. 3D-coat is stretched to both screens. And the font dpi in windows is set to 150% to make things readable. Now i cannot use the old tool, anymore to align smart textures When i do that the mouse cursor is jumping to the second screen, and the texture keeps rotating like crazy. Lucky it still works with modern version. Only the yellow tool on the screen is a bit harder to open It's soemtimes hard to find on your screen.
  12. Ok. Thanks. That makes after soem thinking more sense. now you can reuse the mask while edit the object.
  13. I have done it the whole OBJ way. i just checked it. Blender -> export OB -> 3d-coat -> export as obj with apply scale disabled -> bledner import. seems to keep the correct scale when i import it in blender. In other words, i need to change the workflow a bit and stay complet with OBJ format between bledner and 3d-coat.
  14. Is this a joke ? I where painting with freeze to hide parts, i screwed already a bit. and i do not find the erase freeze pencil. So what you do, make a save to disk. before things get worse. Now the night mare, i load the save back , Freeze mask gone ! Is this a joke ? or complete missed important functionality ? It's very important that you can save freeze painted work including the mask. Is this not possible ? Would be good function to add. Some hint at the bottom of the screen in the text that ctrl is to erase the paint work would be nice. Add: hold Ctrl to undo freeze. Sorry for the question if it's somewhere hidden on unexpected place.

  16. I never used the sculpt tool. I only use Import -> Paint -> Export functionality. All the creating i do in blender.
  17. Thanks, interesting new settings. I tried it, in my case it's betetr to enable scale and set it to 0.01. Then it's correct imported in blender. So i can choice between adjust it in bledner by scale it back to 0.01 or in 3d-coat. Thanks. Something new found.
  18. There's a problem. in my expoter menu there's no "Apply Scale" option at all. Unless it's named different, that would be confusing. I don't see it in the export window ! It's btw not for unity platform. But it's the most compatible format for now. https://pasteboard.co/1oE1uQGoG.png
  19. I go check the video's But the best result is to export in unity default format for now. And apply the textures on the orginal blend file, just ignoring OBJ files etc from 3d-coat. That i on ly use for painting. If you do more then painting, it's a problem. But at least workout for now. Now let's see if i can add soem PBR back in blender.
  20. No, i still run on 4.7.24. But i have the beta ready in case things go wrong again. 3D-coat crashed once. I did update graphics driver. Still curious if something is changed between anniversary and creator version from windows 10. Not seen the problems with anniversary. Things start to get unstable with import, and later import other and do that a few times.
  21. Using default settings fort scale = 1.0. But , sorry. Am importing a FBX file. Workflow is Blender -> export FBX -> 3D-Coat -> Export OBJ -> Blender import OBJ
  22. Imported from blender. with correct settings and scale. then painted in 3d-Coat and exported back to blender.
  23. There's a problem, and it's not blender because it did now happen in other program to. 3D-Coat is exporting the Object as OBJ with a wrong scale. In blender i need to scale it down from 1.0 to 0.01 to get the orginal scale back. The otehr program is more problematic with scaling it down. Why is 3D-coat inflating the object when you export it as OBJ ? Not tried FBX because that seems a pain with 3D-Coat and blender. And where can i set in 3D-coat the correct export setting ? If i can tell 3D-Coat to expert with scale 0.01 things would work better.
  24. I did update the nvidia driver to the latest. I need to see if that happens again. i can try the beta if it works in trail mode. if i keep having problems. The moving windows back if you do not first "new" before importing a new fbx is other problem. I have the trail on the disk if it happens again.
  25. I have 2 monitoprs. and afterv hint fdrom other forum poster using that with pleasure. Not sure how people can work with 3d-coat on single screen, not much space. But, there's a problem i have with 3d-coat 4.7.24 (DX version with this test, GL have other problems) When i import FBX file with the option "model for per pixel painting" It's moving most of the time windows from 3d-coat i have on the secondairy screen back to my main. I can fix it by "restore this page layout" but if you do that a few times in a row it get a bit Grrr.. |This is what happens. first how i have it. second picture how it looks after i have imported the fbx. Btw. Would be nice if you can move the camera puldown box and everything more to the left side of the main screen.
