  1. Sorry if i missed something but where is the menu in retopo gone. I don't mean the one on the side but the one i got when hitting the Spacebar. That was the biggest time saver in retopo. Bring it back please P..:
  2. Hi there, as i'm trying to integrate 3DC more into my workflow here i like to improve my speed with the voxel tools. First thing i really don't like is the brush size and strength setting hotkeys. Either way of changing the radius or the depth. If you are using one hand on the pen and the other on the keyboard the defined hotkey are in the wrong place. I really like how mudbox handles it. Like the idea with the RMB if i'm sculpting. Does anybody really like to use the RMB/swith on the pen while sculpting? It hurts my hands and is nowhere near a precise way of working. Can it be changed to a button on the keyboard please (and i don't ask for a palette under my pen). The other thing is more related to brushes and how to set them up! Anybody knows the Wax brush in MUD? How to closely replicate this function in 3DC? This is a very good and easy to use brush to create a good amount of detail while sculpting the first stages. Right now i find a lot of the brushes a little clumsy. Most give a result like a bulge brush with slightly different falloffs. I use the extrude and carve alot and with only a really low depth value of ,05 or so and this is often way to high. (Might be a scale issue?) Ok so far. Thanks for any help AND please do point me to any solution if it is allready there. P..:
  3. Yeah right. Considering your speed it will be a great release. I just have to say how many great features i find every day in this. What is called an alpha version here is what other release and then do the refinement later if users complain. I see a lot of production ready tools in here with a lot of functions i always imagined but never had and a lot of functions where i just think "how can he come up with that". That's just simply brilliant. Retopo tools are so well thought through here. Voxels are a totally new way of working but it comes so naturally to work with them. I haven't really used the painting tools much because i'm mostly the modelling guy here in our studio but from what i have seen so far from users on the forum the tools are up to the game and i can't wait to give them a real world trial. Just had to say that P..:
  4. why should there be a problem with UVs from C4D. Try it! You can do the Uvs in another tool if you like but i would prefer using c4d considered the time you make stuff in c4d allready. You know the program. If you need help ask for it, but it's far more rewarding to figure it out yourself P..:
  5. Brilliant use of the tools given. Thank you very much for the bunch of new ideas i got from viewing your modelling progress. P..:
  6. Thanks artman. To obvious. P..:
  7. Hi there, as a c4d user i'm used to a tool that can drop in a polygon into a hole with just one click. You simply just hover the pointer over the hole and the tool highlights it. I seem to work my retopo in a way that there is often a single quad missing in the end and i like to fill it. Is there such a tool allready and i'm just blinded by the (many) buttons 3dc has;) If not would it be a nice addition to future versions? P..:
  8. Hi there, i had the Alpha42 running fine and all. now after switching to a new graphics card i wanted to try the new Alpha48. Downloaded and installed the CUDAdriver and the Alpha48. The driver is Beta i know and the newest driver version for this card according to nvidia is also a newer number than the beta driver. All i get is an error stating missing cudart.dll WINxp64 Nvidia GTX260 driver tested 181.20 xp64 180.60 (the cuda beta) P..:
  9. Hi there. I'm still playing around in the Alpha of version 3 and i came up with a question. It may be implemented allready and i'm just not able to find it. When in do my retopo of a mesh made with voxels i like to see in 3dc if i made accidently ngons into the mesh. Is there a chance to highlight them with a color maybe? If it is there allready just point me to it. The forum search is not really helping me by only pointing at topics but not posts. Thanks alot for any help P..:
  10. May i add my vote for the dual monitor support too? I can work without the quad view but using a second screen to unclutter all the palettes would be very nice. P..:
  11. Hi there, new user asking for help again. I'm playing in the alpha with the totally amazing VS tools. Sculpting is pretty much straight forward with some getting used to the tools and the different behavior than my other application (MB2009 that is). My workflow involves roughly shaping the model and then making first modifications mainly with the move tool/brush. How do i have to set it up in 3DC? What falloff to get a nice smooth movement of the portion of the modell? Am i using the right tool? Right now it doesn't work as I like it to! P..:
  12. Hi burak, that mosquito is great. like the others too but that one is really cool. P..:
