Thanks Carlosan! That's good to know, I didn't realize that option existed. Do you know if there's a way to copy the brush behavior from one alpha to another. for example lets say I set some brush options for one alpha, and then realized I wanted to apply those options to other brush alphas? currently, I have to manually re-enter the brush options per alpha by hand. Anyway to copy brush options from one alpha to another? Thanks!

Here's something interesting. If I open the color palette through the tools side color swatch, it opens a floating color palette window, which seems to work correctly. But if I dock the window, it doesn't sample the colors correctly. Here's a quick video showing this behavior. To me it still feels like a bug, and doesn't feel intuitive to have to hit the "V" key to sample a color each time while the window is in a docked state, but rather I would like to just left click and go, which is the behavior I see if the window is floating. I want to be respectful of others opinions so I this might just be a personal preference for my working style. Thanks again! 3DC color picker.mp4

Gotcha.. that works if you have a physical keyboard, but when I work with my surfacebook 2, I turn thee screen around so it's like a Cintiq but I have to keep switching to my onboard keyboard every time to hit the "V" key, which doesn't really work well for those who also work with portable tablet like devices. Anyway just a thought.

Hi, I'm trying to pick colors from the Color Palette using an image that I loaded. I'm zoomed in to an area to pick colors from, but it seems to not return the color that I'm hovering the mouse pointer on. It feels like there may be a miss alignment or something else going on. I've captured a video to show what I'm seeing. Thanks for any help! 3DC_color picker issue.mp4

Hi All, Does anyone know if there's a way to apply the brush options from one brush to another brush? For example, I created some brush alphas for a more painterly effect, and part of that is in how I'm applying the brush options to the alpha. The issue I'm bumping into is that I would like to apply the brush behavior to multiple alphas at once, and I can't seem to figure out how to do it, so I end up having to go one by one to each alpha to apply it. The other reason I would like to be able to apply it the brush options is so I can apply it to different brush tools, like the [Brush, Airbrush, and even the Eraser]. Does anyone know if this is possible? if not I think it would be a nice feature to have, as it could enhance the user experience. Thanks for any help of info on this! Cheers.

Thanks to @Silas Merlin from the Discord server. To remove the gray haze, I pointed out in the video when working in the node graph, just uncheck this option. This was so helpful. Might be nice to have this off by default, but at least you can choose now.

Hi, I hope someone finds this helpful. I've been looking everywhere for a tutorial for working in Nodes within 3d coat, but I can't find much out there, so I tried to make one. From one beginner to another :-) Also if you see that I'm doing this incorrectly or if you have suggestions for better ways of doing them, I would love to hear your feedback and suggestions. Thanks and enjoy!

@AbnRanger I'm in total agreeance with you! I also use the 3DConnexion space mouse and having the invert option is a must. I would like to see it back in the ui. Thanks!

One other thing to add, which I'm sure you already tried, but I'll mention it anyway, as I find myself doing this from time to time to fix some weirdness I have with 3d coat every now and again. Uninstall 3dcoat, and make sure to delete all your 3dcoat folders in my documents or rename them... I find deleting them makes me feel better. and then reboot, and then reinstall. I know it's overkill, but that has actually fixed some issues for me in 3dcoat. Hope that's helpful! Good Luck!!!

Hi Omniripple, Sorry to hear your having crashes. I haven't seen this issue on my end. I switched over both my Surface book2 and my Desktop to Win 11 a few months ago, and I have not seen any issues with 3d coat running on it. Have you made sure you got all the windows updates installed? I know this took a little time for me to finally get it all updated, not sure that's what's happening with you, but thought I might mention it as an FYI. Good luck, I hope it starts working for you soon, cause that would absolutely drive me mad..

I should also mention that I've experienced it removing a room altogether. As I mentioned in my original post, the ability to reorder the rooms via drag n drop would be ideal, that way I can set my most used rooms at the top and not have to search for them. I know we can set hot keys as an option, but I find that there are so many possible hot keys to remember it gets tough for me to find good ones that are not already used, but that might just be me.

Not sure if it's a bug, or not, but once it happens, I can't seem to change the room orders back. I have to uninstall and reinstall to fix it. Anyone know how to manually reorder the rooms? Would be awesome if we could drag the rooms into place similar to how the layers work. I've captured a video showing the issue I run into. Hope it's helpful. Thanks!! 3dc reset rooms.mp4

I stumbled across this behavior and thought it was amazing. if you hold down ctrl and select multiple alphas it will randomly switch between those alphas as you're painting in the paint room. great for adding cracks and features. see video below. multAlphas.mp4

Hi, looks like the latest update has the glitchy ui again. if you add a panel like the presets panel and dock it in the sculpt room, it starts to glitch in pulses. I've tried resetting all layouts and that did not help. The only way I found to fix this was to uninstall and revert to version .25. Not sure if others are seeing this behavior. Thanks

Hi Carlosan, Yes it appears that the new update v25 seemed to work and fixed the occlusion and curvature problems, at least for the few models I've tested. Amazing work from the 3DCoat team! If I run into this on any models, I'll be sure to flag it here for awareness. Thanks for everything you guys do! -Alex

I find myself having to do this from time to time when I import geometry that may have been created in another package outside of Maya. Either I do this trick or unlock vertices. I think it may have to do with the vertex normals getting locked. I'm not really sure but it kind of feels that way. -

When I did that, all the blue lines were gone. At least on this simple object -
