in sculpt room, there is a curves tool that create tube by repeat the selected curves mesh. Is there the way I can have one segment option? that doesn't repeat the mesh. Instead using only the mesh one time between two click points? can I request a option like that in curves tool?

it helps but very limited. only work best to bend tubes or something like that. I meant to adjust the specific areas of the mesh and doesn't commit to it until you hit apply. (want to make sure you happy with the shape first).

Hi. That tool more like revolve tool that revolve a curves around one axes. that's only works with symmetric mesh. I meant the loft tool create a soft blended mesh between two or more curves. I hope 3dcoat already have that tool but I missed it. Thank you for your reply.

Right now Move tool only use alpha brush and it commit the mesh change right after release the mouse. What if improve it that we can click on the voxel or surface mesh to ad control points in different area of the mesh then right click and drag on the control point to move them and change the mesh (soft selection) beneath it. Able to do multiple control points before hit apply to commit the change. Similar to add points in Topology tab. Improve move took that way, we can achieve soft surface of hardsurface modeling quicker and easier.

hard to achieve soft surface while hardsurface modling. Thought it would be nice if we have Loft Tool. draw two or more line and loft between them.

I would like to rotate the camera to exact 90 degree from the current camera view. btw, the holding Shift rotate camera only bring it to front, left, right camera. Not 90 degree from my current view. Any one know how? Thank you.

Hi all, I am trying to use cut tool in surface mode (have sharper edge with lower polycount mesh). But can't achieve clean edge when using cut tool. its only work with rectangular or circle stroke mode. When I used Virtex Lasso stroke mode it created very soft edges. Here are the example. Anyone figured out the way to have clean edges using this? Thank you.

convert object in paint room to voxel w/o export out and import

just wonder if there is a quicker way to bring the object in paint room and convert it to voxel direct from 3dc without export out as obj and merge in voxel room? also is there the way to reserve the color info and project it into voxel object? or merge object into voxel room and reserve the color info of original object and transfer it to voxel object? my point is is there the way to bake the color info from the texture in original object to the voxel object. any idea? -

as i know we can rotate the brush by using 9 or 0 key in keyboard. the question is there is any other way by using combination between ctr, shift or alt with mouse like we can control the zdepth and size? Thanks

we can paint a voxel object in paint room (even its actually vertex painted). However, is there the way to transfer textures(colors) from one object to voxel object? Basically it likes baking texture from one object to another but in this case the other object is voxel. Thanks

this is not what i was looking for. its just a way to freeze the painted layer. I was looking for the way to mask out the black or white color on the painted layer. I wish there is a similar way like "presure effect" in paint mode (more on bright, more on cavity, less on bright or less on cavity ect..)

I just wonder if there is the way to sculpt in surface mode using painted color (vertex) as a mask? merge an object in as surface mode with little high res. Switch to paint tab and paint some black and white color on the object. Switch back to voxel mode. Now use extude tool paint on top of color part. The tool effect on the mesh regardless the color underneath. Is there any way to extrude the the surface on the white or black part only? An other word, using the painted color as a mask to sculpt the model in surface mode. Thanks for your help

anyone know how to prevent the cutoff tool from cutting the hidden faces?

the pose tool doesn't work. it may work for something very simple but not for complicated edges. Could you do this? merge a cylinder as a surface mode and use the cut tool and cut part of it off in an angle . now how can we bevel the edge of the area you just cut? Thank you for trying it out. What I wish there is a tool just to bevel the edges.

The new surface tool is awsome. however I still had hard time to bevel the edge of my model. This question I asked while back but still haven't found the solution. Hope this time someone will give me some advise. The attached image shows what i would like to achive. Thanks

i merged in a box without voxelized it. the box has very low plygon number. i used general brush and clicked on an edge to sculpt. the tool "smooth" out the edge before adding detail. how can i add detail to the box without changing the shape of the box? other way around this is increase the polygon of the box to very high before using the tool. However, it will change the whole purpose of the idea that can add very high detail mesh on top of very low res polygon. Thanks
