  1. here are the screen shot of the steps i did. Please let me know if i did wrong. I also reset 3DC to the default just in case i did set some preferences wrong but the results are the same. What i want is the sharp edges. I did tried hit inc resolution button when the mesh already created but it didnt' sharp the edges. Thanks T
  2. I created two simple boxes. Saved it as obj. Brought it in 3DC as Voxel and the result is good (image 1). However, the voxel mesh is kind of lowres so i brought the obj mesh in 3DC again but this time i increased the resolution by clicked on Inc resolution button. The warning came up (image 2). Clicked OK. However, the result is messed up. (image 3). I tried so many times with different ways. (obj, lwo mesh). Same thing happened. What did i do wrong? is that a bug? any suggestion?   3. thank you for the good tip on that. Yes.. i agree to avoid the lowres model "cover" the hires one when doing the "merge into scene" action we have to lower the lowres model. However, if that the only way to do it in 3dc then i think it won't work for longterm because there will be alot complicated objects in the future (as in my work). Not easy to avoid all the dedails being "blur" out by doing that way. I personal think this "issue" have to be fix inorder to help "game artist"(like myself) to use 3dc. Thank again. T

  6. i tried different setting but still no help. seem to me that when i hit merge into scene, it merged the lowres model on top of hires and wrap the lowres around the hires. As the result, the details will be covered and lost. When it bakes the normal, it bakes the mesh with the new version that has the mesh covers all the details. So the normal texture are very blury. I still have no i deal how this thing work in term of baking normal map. Can anyone show me how to do it step by step or any tutorial out there? Thanks Akira for helping me. T
  7. I am having problem to bake high res model to lowres model (repotology mesh) with all the details transfered. Seems the normal map comes out very blury. What setting i missed? Any one here can show me a tutorial (steps) from creating hires voxel mesh to baking the normal texture? Thank you
  8. Please tell me what i did wrong .. Thanks I right clicked on the Vox Tree layer and export the object to obj. it came out wrong. What did i do wrong? Thank you T
  9. here is what i did sculpt voxel object go to retopology tool and created lowres model on top of high res model, Uv unwap it. click on Merge into scene hide the lowres model and what i saw was a version lowres model has been projected and merged on top of hires model. All the details from hires model has been "blur" out If i baked now the normal map will be not very details as the hires model. What heppened? What did i do wrong? Thank you for your help. T
  10. if i do that it will project the lowres model which i just repotologied into the hires model and make it loose all the detail.. Please show me how you do that? Thanks
  11. what i did was. go to voxel tool, clear the ball, used merge tool and click on select mesh. select the lwo or obj mesh i created on other software. i will bring the model into the 3dc. hit enter.. the mesh coverts into voxel.. ( even the result is very smooth compare with original. I found out if i import obj mesh it won't be smooth as much as lwo). after sculpted, i click to polygon button. then go to file/export lwo obj mesh. The new mesh is much bigger and off pivot point from it original Is that the correct way how to bring the lwo or obj mesh to 3dc to use as voxel? Thanks T
  12. I created a voxel hi res model. then go to reotopo tool to create lowres model ontop of it. Unwrab UV lowres model. How do i bake the detail from voxel model to the lowres topology model? thanks T
  13. I imported LWO or OBJ into 3DC. When i exported the model it much bigger compare with its original size. Also the pivot are way off from its original as well. what wrong? Thanks
  14. When i import an obj or lwo into 3DC, it always smooth the edges of the original object. How can i keep the sharpness of the edge? Thanks T
