Your basic workflow inside of 3DCoat, the tools you use and how you use them, work on a moderately detailed project from start to finish in detail, audio is essential. I would recommend using Techsmiths tools, either Camtasia or Jing to record with, Camtasia for better quality control and longer recording and jing for shorter tutorials, couple this with their online storage, which has become seamless, it's one stop shop for creating tutorials http://www.screencast.com/tools.aspx Take a break and walk in the sun, breath the fresh air

No.1 Fountain Tree, with possibly the water beading starting a little higher up but not much, maybe 1/3 of the way up. Love the wall fountain

Love Abraham Tree, and the super heroes is great, keep up the good work, and i ain't gonna get started on the patriot thing, you know my feelings about my home country Australia, perhaps many people feel the same way about their own country no matter what country the live in, thanks be to god i live in Australia, a free country, just like America.

WoW i love the Angel Rick, truly awesome

Tree, i think the Jesus image needs a different base, it looks odd to me, maybe some semi-flat ground rather than a risen disk shape, otherwise the sculpt is great, just needs a different base imho
-
Tree of Temptation looks bizarre Tree, but the quality of sculpt is getting better all the time

Awesome Sub Tree

Hey tree you know i don't mean to offend, i was just being a little cheeky with my comment on the trees, i think your work is superb and that's why i'm glued to this thread

I was using Truespace around the 6.0 era and to be honest at that stage it was a resource hog, it could have also been my inexperience with 3D, i really hope MC does something with it, and perhaps 7.6 is more refined. Good for those hobbyists on tight budgets but there are alot of other options out there imo. And just before i get flames like last time, !it is my opinion!

A beautiful peace Tree, perhaps it needs even more um... damage, not so much blood but if you ever watched Mel Gibson's "The Passion" which imo tells the truth about the viciousness of the Romans , then the hands need a little more oomph in my humble opinion, artistically i mean

I know you sort of mentioned it but will you defiantly be doing Video tutorials on 3DC as well, i love to read books but nothing beats good concise video explanation on how to do something, but i am also a very visual type

What is the purpose of Retopology, the BIG why ?
Silentman replied to Silentman's topic in General 3DCoat
Thanks alot, MarkG, after reading that i now have a very good understanding, and can also see why sculpting lips (poly style) was not going too well for me. I really appreciate the time you took to explain it to me. Thanks very much -
Hey all, i hate to ask what maybe a really dumb question, but i'm new to sculpting in 3D and i'm wondering why i would use Retopology, what purpose does it have? is it so i can texture my models, are they not texturable without Retopology, or does it have more to do with Import and Export, anyhow, i am somewhat lost on the matter and would really appreciate an explanation on it's purpose and uses. Thanks in advance.

I'm a little curious Taros, are you running in the GL or Cuda version 3DCoat, i'm wondering if Cuda will have better performance ? I realize the need to go to 64bit, i myself am on the journey to 64 bit, but as you mentioned why do it when you have a good running machine, for me i will by a an extra system, 64bit, for the explicit purpose of installing software such as 3DCoat, Photoshop, 3DS Max and so on. I want to keep the other pc for trialling software and maybe using as a render farm + general daily tasks
