  1. But let me buy your stock first before you go to the Nasdaq of Moscow stock exchange? :)
  2. Hi, I've read somewhere that voxels are very suitable for turning 2D medical scans in 3D objects. I'm not a doctor, just a computer graphics enthousiast, but it would be nice if 3D coat could have this option to. In Belgium we have a company called Materialise that 3D prints data from CT scans. I would love to see this option available for the general public. They do plastic surgery and orthopedic reconstruction with 3D prints. This could open up a whole new market for 3D Coat with it's amazing voxel sculpting tools. You would have to be able to handle exact dimensions and sizes of the limb you're trying to replicate. http://www.materialise.com/products-and-services/products-and-services-for-medical-professionals-0 http://www.volumedic.com/ -> a Lightwave plugin Haven't you thought about this Andrew? There is no such solution available at the market at this moment. Go making some big money with your software Andrew.
  3. Hi, Before I studied graphics, I studied for orthopedic technician. That's someone who makes protheses of legs and other limbs. Since we now have fast and cheap 3D scanning with Reconstructme software, I was wundering thinking about the endless posibilities that 3D Coat offers for this industie. You could 3Dscan limbs for protheses and do some very nice modeling of legs. Sometimes they also have to make ortheses. That are small corsets build on casts of the limb that correct the limb. In 3D Coat you can use the retopo tools to draw geometry on the object and do that stuff. 3D Coat has to be equiped with exact measurement tools for that. 3D Coat also has to be able to load Autocad files of knee joints in protheses etc... You could then export the model to an STL file -> perhaps do already some curve calculations for the cat cam milling -> and mill the object. I once saw a video of someone using voxels to convert CT scans to 3D objects. If someone has a fracture on his skull 3D Coat could be used to model the rest of the skull. I hope Andrew has thought about this and could use this little tips and suggestions to improve his truly amazing piece of software. Thanks. Comments? ( Sorry for my bad english, my native language is dutch and I don't know the exact words for all the specific terms in english.)
  4. Hi, When are you guys going to release some training on Digital Tutors? What holds most user back from using 3D Coat a lot more is the fact that there is not a lot of training available. Most of us are subscribed to Digital Tutors or to other CG related training sites. Like Lynda or EAT3D or CMIVFX others. When are you guys going to get some training on those sites. Another problem for me is the fact the user interface changes a lot when new tools are added. It would be better if the user interface stays more the same over different versions. These are just polite requests. If you would ask someone in the industry what (I'm not a pro user btw) he would think about 3D Coat, most of them are impressed by the software. YOU GUYS SHOULD WORK ON YOUR MARKETING EFFORTS A LOT MORE. 3D Coat would probably have a broader user base when doing that. Those are just polite remarks.
  5. Hi, Can someone please write a book over 3D Coat. Every decent 3D app has a decent reference book. (Looking something up in a decent book works better for me.)
  6. Could someone write a book about 3D Coat? I like the video tutorials but also prefer to have a book. So, could someone write a book about the subject? Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase?
  7. Hi, Could you implement HLSL, GLSL or Nvidia cg shader export options for the textures. I hope it can be done in the form of a simple script. You're only exporting normal maps, texture maps, displacement maps from 3D Coat. Most users use Autodesk software and that uses Mental Ray with it's own MetaSL shader language of Mental Mill. That would also be cool. Everyone is these days into GPU rendering. Exporting shaders that run on a GPU would be cool. Not so difficult to implement, I hope?
  8. Hi, I'm a Lightwave user. Lightwave doesn't have a decent fluid water liquid simulation. Could you implement a voxel fluid sim in 3D Coat? (GPU accelerated and with export to pointoven mdd mesh file format like in Realflow.) A node based editor of the system to attach deflector objects (objects where the liquid bounces off) and extra parameters such as gravity etc... Would be nice. You can implement it as a voxel metaball system. I think 3D coat will be very good at this.
  9. Hi, Are we going to see any support for devices like the Novint Falcon. Sculpting while feeling the model would be very cool. http://home.novint.com/
  10. Hi, Thanks for implementing the trash can inside the voxel tree. Could you implement a metaball voxel tool with metaballs you can scale? (to replace zspheres) (3D Coat is already better. ) Painting masks on voxels would also be cool. The competition can do that and when masks are inverted it helps you a lot to sculpt muscles etc... Keep up the good work. Thanks

  12. Could you include a trash can and a add level icon in the voxel tree panel? Kind of like a Photoshop layer style interface. It's easier to add or delete a layer or level in the voxel panel that waY.
  13. Is there a way other then the hide tool to paint masks on the model and invert them? (Not by using an alpha but a standard brush?)
  14. Hi, I'd love to have a basic training DVD on how to voxel sculpt a character. Could you do that for us Gavin. I really liked your webcast at Kurv studios. Could you do a training DVD an how to voxel sculpt a basic human character and a dog or a frog or something?
