I cannot wait to see 3DCoat supporting OpenCL...I understand it adds up more work for Andrew BUT I believe it will benefit him and the users in long run...OpenCL for the win
I would like to show another image by PaQ done in MoI & UV Layaout...
The reason I show this image is That I also believe it would be great if Andrew was to develop/enhance the UV tools inside 3DCoat, UV tools that could compete with www.uvlayout.com & www.unwrella.com/
UV, Painting is the the biggest pain for a Nurbs modeler IMO... 3DCoat with some work could become our best friend...

Here another image from Tinker. Now Imagine if he could all that his UV work inside 3DCoat

Giuseppe that's super cool. Iloveit.
could you please elaborate on you method. For example is the fur, grass done in blender?...
I"m very interested on your Blender/3d coat workflow, a mini tutorial would me much appreciated.
thanks for you prompt reply.
Just to clarify, you say Ill be able to import 3DM files that contain Curves, Surfaces or Solids and then use the UV Unwrap, paint, Sculpt tools in 3DC...That's great news.
First of all congratulations to the developers.
What I would like to ask at this stage is when you say .3dm support do you mean support for REAL Nurbs Curves, Surfaces and Solids OR Rhino files should be saved (baked) as a polygon mesh inside Rhino before loading into 3d-Coat?
Also when you export from 3d-Coat to Rhino etc. would that be Nurbs files like .3dm, IGES etc. OR Mesh files like .Obj ?
Thanks in advance.
