thanks for the reply. I had some difficulties keeping the plane in rectangular shape. While taking the mesh back to the paint room via "Retopo->microvertex(no baking)" one has to untick "Smooth Object". Now it works. But it does not make much sense to me that you can adjust the tesselation, under the view menue item in the paint room while in PPP displacement, when it´s not functional.

On Win 10 with 3dc 2023.37 I´ve tried the simplest approach to test PPP displacement. A simple plane exported from blender via 3dc applink and then loaded and subdivided in the retopo room. Back in the paint room just a simple depth paint yields weird grid-like artifacts on the displaced mesh.

@ Carlosan I´ve found the icon again in the newest version of 3dc. It´s appearance has changed slightly. I could not find a way to invoke it within 3dc. It seems to only appear when importing geometry with color information applied.

@Carlosan thank you very much for that information. I´m sort of revitalising my 3d coat skills after some years of abstinence. So that question was just out of curiosity.

I´m working with 3d coat version 2023.29 When I remember correcty there has/had been an icon in the sculpt tree(former vox Layer) to show color painting information. It was a vertical bar with rgb colors if I´m right. Has this been removed? I cannot find a way to reproduce.

After your PM I´ve tried again, but it is the same as before. I could and can successfully log in - no problem. It´s just that weird question that is shown below the login dialog. I don´t know what is ment by "admin" directory and if it´s on my site or on your server.

The login screen of the MantisBT is telling me that I should delete an admin directory or restict the access. What does that mean?

I could not find a topic "feature request" at the mantis site, so I´ve put it into the "Other" category.

I would like to see a feature where I can limit the painting of an area by the angle adjacent faces. Similar to the "ingore back faces" option in the E-panel. There should be a limiter where one could set the angle which allows or prevent the painting or modelling of the area. MeshMixer or 3ds max has this option in the face selection dialog.

I´m still looking for the wireframe overlay function like it is in scupltris or meshmixer. IMO liveclay is pretty useless if one cannot see the tesselation of the mesh. The main advantage of dynamic tessalation is the control over the mesh density in different areas, yet preserving the lowest facecount possible. Switching sometimes to the wireframe mode to control the tessalation with the W-button is not a practical option.

Danke, für die Antwort. Ich hab´s zwischenzeitlich hin bekommen. Man muß auf der Global Collect Seite nach seiner Überweisung suchen. Da findet sich dann eine Referenznummer mit der man auf der Plimus/Blue Snap Seite die Seriennummer abfragen kann. Das stand halt nirgendwo so, und `ne Email hab ich auch nicht bekommen. Na ja, egal jetzt hat die Registrierung auf jeden Fall geklappt.

Ich wollte gern vom "Christmas Sale" profitieren. Nachdem ich hier das Formular ausgefüllt und abgeschickt habe, habe ich am 20.12 per normaler nationaler Überweisung an eine Fa. Global Collect mit Leipziger Postbank Konto den Kaufpreis für eine Vollversion überwiesen. Leider habe bis heute keine Email mit der Seriennummer oder einer Rechnung erhalten. Jetzt war ja erst bei uns Weihnachten und Silvester und jetzt in der Ukraine nochmal, aber so langsam werd ich doch unruhig ob das alles so geklappt hat. Hat jemand Erfahrung mit dieser Kaufprozedur? Wenn ja, wie lange hat´s gedauert? Oder kann mir jemand sagen wen ich am besten kontaktiere?

Hello, I´ve signed in this forum because I´m going to buy a new grafic card. The choice will be between a 4GB VRAM version or a 2GB VRAM version. My question is if 3dc is gaining any advantage from the 4GB version?
