  1. ...also applies to 3DCoat don't miss this one!
  2. there is one for LW2019 (release > soon) https://forums.newtek.com/showthread.php?157535-3DCoat-Applink-LW2018-source-code/page2 note, it is commercial and will cost $175 (since it is bundled with LightWave ODToolSet)
  3. for now, this seems alright > (if you already have OD ToolSet that is, kinda pricey if you want the PBRimporter only) (however, ODT is dang nice, so something to consider)
  4. i think LW2018 should be better suited to render 3DCoat files now, since it now supports PBR
  5. hi, sorry to bump, but was this added somewhere along the way ? nope ? http://3d-coat.com/mantis/view.php?id=950
  6. hi, that Vector Displacement is for import/export only, those have been added... the Vector Displacement talked about here is for a Brush by the way, thank you all for answeres, i tend to forget to click "Follow this topic"... :° edit: ah, fixed, went to my profile and checked the "Auto follow topics I reply to" option...
  7. hi there, was thinking maybe this kind of retopo feature would be an idea...
  8. did he pass away, where this info come from?... not sure, but Darrell was active today > https://community.thefoundry.co.uk/discussion/post.aspx?f=9&t=84990&p=771546
  9. the HardSurface retopo looks great, wonder though, how will it work on smooth corners / edges / sides etc... Hardsurface retopo example - http://bit.ly/1464moY maybe if there is an object with smoothing it could be adjusted by weightmap or something? i read about a density map setting, could be useful for that sort of thing...
  10. merge, yeah, that's pretty much what i was looking for. still, a vector displacement brush would be nice. (projections have their benefits, e.g. on rippled surfaces) thank you
  11. any chance of getting a vector displacement brush? (and could it work with voxels?)
  12. hmm... ok, so do i get it right to say that i can't use the Voxel Sculpting method if i want to later on export a Vector Displacement map for e.g. Lightwave?
  13. hi, just wondering about this very basic thing, does 3D-Coat export Vector displacement? erik
  14. it must be a CPU or Ram issue then... please tell if you find out more...
  15. ...there are btw plans for NURBS in LW using the new version of LWcad,... to be announced...
