@insignet Hello, could you also try Windows → Restore This Page Layout ?
Means you will have to set the layout up again but, I believe there was a problem a few builds past where after updating and setting a new layout, it would obscure new tools added since the build the layout was created on
    Maybe worth a shot

thanks... it was my custom page layout. Reset to Default solved the issue.

Curves can be imported in file .Iges in be an extra module

When you say 'Extra Module' do you mean another 2D/3D program that generates IGES curves? If so I can generate IGES curves... but 3DC only has Load Curves >  EPS option ( unless Im missing something ). Even if you select Load Curves and have an EPS file it does not appear in the browser dialogue ( as a recognised EPS file ), you have to select from the drop down menu where you can see the file.

Here my result of some quick experimenting with recent added tools to produce real time hair solely in 3DCoat
    PureRef_EF66upTm58.thumb.jpg.41cbdfe89a1b23bdca5d49918e177c90.jpg

there's really good potential. For my use, much prefer what's available in this app now over, ornatrix, xgen, blender, etc

this is a typical thing that a lot of users that do character work obsess over, just thought I would bring some attention to the possibility

    it's thanks to things like,
global uniform uv unwrap, curve tools in model and sculpt, bake y-depth in sculpt room, recently added local curvature map, light baking, etc

so thanks to developers for all these tools they're great

Great results... I've mentioned before to the developer at 3DC about using the new curves to help position and bend hair cards.

Does it happen with both approaches - WinTab & TabletPC?

    Is there lag with mouse?

And please turn off vertical synchronization in prefs and try again.

Thanks Andrew the Brush Strokes are much better and so is the painting experience. The brushes are responsive and smooth, the sensitivity is good too, you can actually place a dot on the 'i' as you writing quickly, something the brush stroke would just ignore before.

Confirmed there is no lag with the mouse.

WinTab solves the problem of the lag but I can can only use a single monitor

The  issue when using WinTab is it doesn't work with dual monitors as the cursor/brush is offset when painting ( see dual monitor video ).

  6. I'm finding the brush engine in 2021.16 rather erratic. Video shows basic setup in the Paint Room using a Wacom Intuos Pro ( drivers up to date ). When making the strokes there is a definite lag on the brush when lifting the stylus to start the next stroke causing a drag line in some cases and no stoke being placed at all (1:10 mins) on the 'k'. The quality of the 2021 stroke is very good, but its having to think once the stylus if lifted and that small pause interrupts the painting. Testing with V4 the stroke quality is not as good 2021 but there is no drag line between strokes.

  7. hi - im really struggling to understand nodes in 2021 beta... Any pointers to at least get something to show up say on a shader? I have used Nodes before in other apps - but the 3DC version seems quite complicated. Just trying to get something simple to work leaves you scratching your head. Could someone do a demo or write a doc to explain it, at least to get us started. Its a powerful addition to 3DC but needs an good introduction to get people started.
