  1. ok I managed to do it by exporting it out then importing it and making it make a uvmap for it
  2. I still can't get it to work, I don't understand how to do this. My model was made in 3Dcoat, retop and coloured. Merging gives it holes all over. I have no layers on and there's this weird hole filled voxel ghost. When I exported the model and brought it in, there were no voxels or retop part and I can't get it to show up in maya.
  3. I have my model, it has retop and now I need a UV map, but nothing's showing up when I go into that room. I've tried looking it up, but all the tutorials all start with a model that have uv maps or they import it from maya. I've played around with the uv loop tool in the rotop room, baked materials, unwrapped it and nothing happens besides loading it and acting like something is happening. Help!
  4. Thanks I didn't have the bin option until I went into popups and opened the group.
  5. I've used the auto retopo on my model and have 3 layers for different parts, but I want to delete one and redo it, but I select it and press clear and it clears the lot. How can I just remove the one layer and keep the others?
  6. Thanks, the maya preset is what I needed, just something that I need to press to move the camera. Should make my workflow easier especially struggling with this hand, didn't need another thing to get annoyed about!
  7. Hi, I'm doing a university course and got told to use 3Dcoat to do my model and it looks simple to use. I've never used this kind of program before, only a little bit on maya, but the thing that really really really frustrates me (putting it kindly) is the controls on the view. In maya to move the camera I have to hold alt. It stops me accidently selecting and moving other objects while I'm looking around This one I don't, so trying to resize the brush can sometimes move the camera if I'm slightly in the wrong place or if I'm trying to move the camera I do something to my model. This becomes extremely annoying when one simple thing I want to do, means ctrl z, Or having to re-resize the brush because I had it in the wrong place when I needed to change my view. I am seriously hating on this program for this simple thing, I can't do anything without making sure my arrow is where I want it or if I've selected a tool that can make an object in any space I have to click off it and find something else to click that doesn't ruin my model until I've got the view in the right place. Is there a way to change this?? Also is there a tutorial on making simple hands?
