  1. Well i bought it in 2008 not this year, and at that time it was an ok price . I like the direction where Zbrusch is going,
  2. Lets face the truth Digital777, the price for sulpting with Zbrush is cheaper than the price its cost to sculpt with 3dcoat. Im talking about the free upgrades for Zbrush and most important i dont need to spend an huge amount of monny to get an good sculpt out of zbrush. I am working today with an old laptop *got it warry cheap 250 EUR toshiba satelite older model ,specs : intel p4 at 3000 Mhz with multithreading tech. ,no graphics card atall becose i cant find an driver that works good so i can only pus the resolution of the screen ,i cant handel anithing that needs directx 9 , and 1 gig of ram and 60 gig HDD .And lest instal 3d coat on that machine , u cant even open it. In Zbrush i can do anithing i want and can eaven handel an total amount of 15 million polis spread on diffrent subtools. And zbrush caunts the polis as quads that means if u have 10 million polis in zbrush u have 20 million triangles in Maya for example, (if the mesh is all quads ). So the software is cheaper but to work with it u spent tooooo mutch mony , my opinnion. If i upgrade my memory i can handel even more polys and make high detailed skulpts.
  3. And here is the second modeling video of the bike. http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?t=95181&page=11&pp=15
  4. I found today 2 great new videos from pixolator showing an motorcycle model and the actual modeling in Zbrush 4. I was impressed of the 3.5 video from 3d coat on that spaceship sculpting but what i sew today is (maybe)equal on what 3d coat can do on hard surfaces.Im more an zbrusher but i had 3d coat for 30 day trial to test. Its realy an great program but if ZB stil gets better and better and 3d coat is such hardware intensive to run i stick with ZB. http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?t=095181 http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?t=95181&page=6&pp=15 After that videos u think Why max or maya anymore )))Its so mutch easier and quicker to get an high poly in Zb and 3d coat today that i think Maya wil be more for low poly medeling in future.Just my thought at the moment.
  5. Hallo i wuld like to see the option of placing quads with an brush in 3d coat.I find it an wery handy way.The plugin has other features too but most of them incorporates the Max tools. And for 3d coat i think only the Brush mode is an good option. .
  6. I saw it today and the uv's are the cleanest i see so far in 2 seconds workt. The algorithm is mutch better then abf.I didnt try it but i like the results i seen in the video and its easy to change the density in 20 seconds and the uvs are wery clean.I must try it. i played with it 4 minits and ther is some streching in mouth and eyes area .So its not the best solution.U get wery fast some uv's but u cant tweak them like in 3d coat.Fot Zb users its an nice plugin. But if u want realy nice uvs u need to tweak them in an uv editor.
  7. For my model i cant find any strange uvs on the decimated mash.In my opinion if u hawe uvs before u decimate and save an lover sdiv level in Zb u get nice results. It is important to check keep uvs .The texture is made for an very low In game model (3,200 polys)but all difrent mashes hawe same uvs.In my case the uvs are identic.in the pictures are the decimated and the lower res mash from Zb(almost 54,400 polys) Zbrush can import uvs after u model al u want .I seen an tutorial an he say that u need an model with same vertex order on the lowest sdiv level .so u have the ztool on sdiv level 1 and import an mash with same vertex order that has uvs made in external prog. After he import the mash he culd change the sdiv levels and have new uvs.(every subtool has its own imported mash i think.)
  8. I show u this becoz u said u cant import decimated mashes for per pixel p.And if u hawe uvs before decimation and save an lover resolution of Zb model u kan use it to pain. For my model the uvs are the same for the low rez zb model and the decimated mash. Zbrush its faster becoze its using subdiv levels.I test polypainting on decimated model and its realy fluid and i think Zb handels better high numbers of poligons. So 3d coat needs subdiv levels (my thinking)
  9. i did it like this I made an mistake in explination .Zb dont export texture in obj ,but it exports the texture in same folder. There are 2 files the obj and the texture. And 3d coat has applied the texture saved in folder.
  11. I think he wants to know how to export the material u can asign to voxelsculpts to the exported obj .And if thats the quwstion i cant answer him becose i dont know .
  12. No problem and i wont to tell that i see that if u put normal smoothing steps very lov u dont lose so much detail on harder edges. In my opinion its not good to put high values on smothing becose u loos to many details.
  13. Hi, bad news.Windows wont start nomore and i lost the voxel sculpt. My bad i save it in default folder. But i saved yesterday an obj from the voxsculpt to help cropcircle http://www.3d-coat.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=4409 Now i hawe to use this obj as an start point for future modeling. Thanks God i hawe this obj.
  14. hi cropcircle there is an method to export quad mash from 3d coat i show u un some pics.
