  5. hey Thank you.. well I was just curious if it would keep somehow the Uv's .. all I needed was to import a scanned model in sculpt room , do a bit of smoothing and then re-export like it was.. with its UV's.. h/
  6. Hello, I have imported in the sculpt room a mesh with uv's and a map It was just to smooth some areas.. but now when I try to re-export it... it has lost it's UV.. Is there a way to export it with its UV..? I also could not find in the docs (might be hidden) wht is exactly the Use of Import UV and Export UV in the paint room TY h/
  7. well in a way we do have VD.. but what would be very useful is to be able to bake a VD on a retopo mesh From the Sculpt room.. ah well..
  8. hello There I think we need Vector disp baking in 3D coat.. That would be a must, we could also simplify our retopo meshes when there are lots of nooks and crannies.. thank you for considering it. h/
  9. yes... it is essential if you want to retopo a color mapped scan.. vertex color is nice but not as good as a map. cheers.
  10. thanks but vertex painting was not what I needed.. only the high res with its UV and the color map.. I found that LWO is the answer. imported as voxels (with Import W/O voxelisation clicked ON... Works like a charm ! thanks
  11. hello.. I have a scan with some uv's and a color texture. Now I simply want to import it to 3D coat, then do a AUTOPO to get a low polys mesh, make some UVs, and then Bake a disp + color texture. Is it possible..? I have no luck so far.. when I import my scan (8 millions polys) in sculpt room, I get no texture, only geometry.. making it useless.. Thank you

  13. kk.. there is a bug... when I load a mesh as voxels.. 3D coat asks me if I want to keep position and scale.. Scale is kept, but position has changed !!!! please fix asap. thank you

HELLO I am going crazy over that bug... never ever had that in years ! ! basically I have one single layer. an Object I have retopoed, UV.. then I baked it to the paint room using Micro Vertex.. It shows very well in Paint room. If I set the depth to 0%, I get the perfect retopo mesh.. If I set the layer depth to 100 % , I do get the nice disp. Now... if I output the disp... It's all wrong... all I get is a very smooth shit ... the disp is just not there.. If I output a Normal map.. all perfect, but I want a disp, not a normal map... Dang... sorry I can't post anything... so I guess there will be no help... ah well... shit happen Maybe I'll just drop 3d coat and move over ZBrush... as I have no other solution.. too bad, it was a nice app.. but Way too buggy...

  16. Hello... I would like to create some bubbles on a mesh surface, but I don't want the bubbles to be part of that object surface.. is there any way to draw bubbles on a seperate layer... if I add a layer, then it draws nothing.. any idea..? thank you
  17. hello... I am using the last stable build.. 4.0.04B BOXX dual xeon E5 2687W @3.1ghz - 128gb - win7 64bits I try to load a scanned object with only 15 millions polys... I tried the cuda and DX versions.. both crash.. It first read the obj. file, then I see the import mesh panel, click apply.. crash.. I have had that same issue in the past where anything above 5 millions obj. would crash, apparently still the case.. is there any plan to fix it one day..? h/
