  2. @SERGYI Tested with 4.9.72 and it works fine!
  3. Thank you @SERGYI for the feedback! Unfortunately i'm out of my PC with OpenSuse, so i can not test at the moment this version.Maybe in the next days i can back to this. I will let you know.
  4. Hi, I always used 3dcoat under Ubuntu, but recently i purchased a new PC and i have installed OpenSuse Tumleweed. So i unzipped 3dcoat in my home folder but i can not run 3dcoat because missed dependecies, see the error message: ./3dcoat: error while loading shared libraries: libomp.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Unfortunately it is not possible to install libomp5 on OpenSuse, the oldest version that it is possible to install is libomp7. Maybe it is possible to compile a own copy ? source code here https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project, but i think is better if install Ubuntu on my other partition. What do you think?
  5. ok, i will e-mail to him, Thank you for the support!
  6. Hi, i would to develop a plugin for krita or inkscape or other app to export images and import them in 3DCoat as thickened mesh, in synthesis like option in 3DCoat opening Dialog "import image as mesh", but as i look in your doc i don't see this option yet: there is a chance in a near future to get this feature? Thanks to all Walter
  7. I noticed that the linux beta version is 4.1.08 instead of 4.1.10A, is there some particular reason for this? thank you
  8. hi, i have messiahStudio v.6 through wine and linux 3dcoat v.4.1. Does it possible to works together? i installed the script but when i run it with a mesh selected i get error "No mesh is selected". Thanks
  9. ok i solved by myself! i found on Nvidia forum this topic: https://devtalk.nvid...-they-coexist-/ if you have this issue follow this steps: download cudatoolkit version 3: https://developer.nv...downloads#Linux make excutable the .run script with: run the script with: you will asked to choose a folder location , DO NOT INSTALL in the same location of your cuda installation dir, choose another one like: /usr/local/cuda-3.0 ( the script will add also a /cuda plus) set the environment variables in .bashrc ( the hidden text file in ~home/username ) for yours news libs have fun! p.s. how can i mark the topic as solved?
  10. I purchased the educational version but i hadn't a credit card type listed so i had to purchase it with a bank transfer. This is not a big problem, but the time of processing is longer. I think open to other buying options will be fine. I used paypal and i never had a problem.
  11. Hi to all , this is my first post in this forum, i'm learning to use 3dcoat and i have to say it is a continue discovery of great tools and i'm very impressed of this powerful software. But i have a problem . I would to use my cuda capabilities of my Nvidia video card. From the instrucitons that i found on tthe 3dcoat web pages: i have an Nvidia GT540m(so a notebook with Optimus tec and bumbleebe) installed cudatoolkit 4.2.9 but when i launch from a console i got : because of course i have not installed the cuda v.3 So my question is : Does it is possible run 3dcoat with cuda version higher than 3? I don't want to uninstall cuda 4.2.9 because i have other software that is using it, , and also i'm developing some litlle apps that specifically use that cuda version ( i'm still learnig..) . i think that probably it 'is possible install cuda v.3 in another location but i need to set up an environment variable to point 3dcoat to. Does it is possible? Does it exist an config file where to set this ? Another option is to use another pc other to my notebook , but since i travel and i have to use my notebook with 3dcoat still the problem remains: Thanks for the attention. Walter p.s. maybe it is simply a doable thing to install cuda v.3 and before to launch from the conole 3dcoat set the env. variable like this pointing to the direction of cuda lib: but i don't know if installing different cuda lib can cause conflicts or other issues.
