  1. Unfortunately that didn't help. And, by the way, the issue only happens when using the pen. The mouse works ok.
  2. Hi, As I try to use my pen (I have a Wacom Pro 24), I'm getting a gap as showed in the image. Is this depending on some setting I'm not aware of? It only happens in 2021 version, all good in 4. Thanks!
  3. I got some serious problems in the latest build using the retopology tools. Can't create quads using Point And Faces tool, and Strokes snaps to already existing vertex and in general works a little crazy. I'm on my 32 bit laptop. Anyone else?
  4. No problem, it happens! I love 3D-Coat and I'm impressed by this new feature. I've tried it myself and i have to say it can produce very good results, especially now that symmetry works properly. I'm sorry about what happened after my post. Didn't want to hurt anyone sensitivity, or "bush" anything... What I still think is that Andrew's work deserves the best promotion possible. While here is a sort of "happy island" where criticism is very moderate (maybe too much sometimes), other forums are more demanding, so maybe would be better to be a little more careful about any attempt to "market" 3D-Coat. Of course that's my opinion. Anyone is free to do whatever he thinks is better, but should be ready to receive praises or (polite, but true)criticism.
  5. Head and hands aren't the only two things that look wrong to me. A rigger could go crazy working on a model whose body has the polyflow I see here. What I mean is that 3D Coat tools should be "advertised" at their best. And I've seen the same image posted on the Newtek forums: "The latest update, 3.3.10, came out today with improvements to the auto-retopo feature. I did this little test with it in maybe 4 minutes.".... The point is that a good modeler (or any 3d pro) really can't see anything good about the topology in this model. I think this is the wrong way to help a good product such as 3D-Coat to gain new users. Just my humble opinion.
  6. That's not what I said. "Looking at the image, I really think the produced topology is so far from being nearly usable (well, to be true, everything I see looks wrong to me). " So...I was talking about the model, not about the feature. I'm wondering what's the point of showing such an image. 3D-Coat auto-retopology feature deserves more imho.
  7. Looks like you misunderstood me...I'm not saying 3D Coat auto-retopology is not working well....what I'm saying is that the image shows a very bad result. I think 3D Coat deserves more than that (such as the video I linked at the end of my post).
  8. Looking at the image, I really think the produced topology is so far from being nearly usable (well, to be true, everything I see looks wrong to me). I'm sure 3d Coat auto-retopology can produce better results...this feature can really be a big time saver. This is a lot more encouraging: Very cool video! I'm not sure a full autoretopology tool is the best way to go. Maybe being able to apply that to masked/selected parts of a model would be great!
  9. I bought an Intuos4 yesterday...my first pen-tablet. All I can say is I was crazy to use 3D-Coat without it! So I decided to start my own "sketchbook"! That's the first one:

    Faun!

I'd like to do both. The hair are just a placeholder for the one I'll add in Lightwave. What do you mean exactly? What we don't need in 3DC? I'm missing something here!

    And another....

Thank you so much! Another image!

    Horns and some hair added!

Sure....fast sketching is cool in 3D-Coat!!! I love its whole workflow. About your work....stunning!

Thank you so much michalis! 3D Coat is a fantastic retopology and painting software! About voxel sculpting, what I really miss are some kind of hierarchy-wise metaball (such as ZSpheres in ZB). Curves are really nice to simulate this, but would be great to have something more specifically suited for sketching the whole shape of a character.

    Faun!

Thank you so much! For sure I want to do something cool with it! Another wip (ear added)!

Voxel density increased and some more work.

Another one! Very rough definition of the basic shape...

    Faun!

Inspired by the wonderful work of Carlos Cabrera, I'm working on a faun character. Very first wip!
