  1. Yeah, your humor does suck I though I was at least going to get RickRolled, but noooo.... I call BS!!
  2. Oh man, I was going to skip on posting here, but it's just to good to pass on... I don't know what is going on with this two going at each other but it's pretty funny that you let it aggravate you so much that you make it public. "War in Iraq", "physical violence", "legal threats", etc...? Man, why do I pay for HBO!? (Actually I don't, but it sounded appropriate). Please guys tomorrow I will be reading this post again and I will have some popcorn with me so YOU TWO better NOT work things out or I will be the one getting violent!! LOL That! EDIT 1: You can take this guy Don, besides Judge Judy is off this week so you're on the clear! EDIT 2: Hey, Hey!! No reporting! EDIT 3: Oh man, I really love being able to edit my posts! Good call Carlos. EDIT 4: Oh yeah almost forgot, webmasters please DO let us edit our posts.
  3. So, recently I've been having some doubts about the specific details that 3D Coat uses when exporting Geometry into obj files, i.e. are triangles counterclockwise or clockwise, are UVs using DirectX coordinates or OpenGL, are normal maps specified in tangent space or world space, and many more that don't come to mind RIGHT now. Anyways, where can a programmer find this details?
  4. I'm glad I found this post, I actually GAVE my license to a "real" artist, unlike myself, and after two days of using it and swearing she was never going back to zbrush.......she emailed me and said the following: "Hey, I really love almost everything thing about this damn program!! But I do have a major concern that could be a deal breaker.....once you start pushing it a little bit, you can feel it slows down dramatically. I love it, I really do!!!, but you can have your license back because until the performance goes up (maybe more than 2 notches!!!) then we can talk money!!!" And yes, this is a QUOTE.....She loves exclamation marks.
  5. Thanks Andrew, one last question about this... Why am I getting the uv coordinates wrong? I mean, not TOTALLY wrong, but not COMPLETELY right either. For example, when I'm doing texture painting if I have a head and I paint the "right eye" green, when I import it to my DirectX code than the "left eye" will be the one painted green.....kind of weird.....
  6. I wanted to know how you can change the export settings so you can export models for DirectX as well as for OpenGl, i.e. switching the Z axis direction. This will also help correctly map uv coordinates when exporting a model for DirectX.
