The things that Modo can do that lightwave can't can be done better in 3Dcoat. I prefer Lightwave's renderer and the fact that it is more like two applications, i find it easy to use and navigate,the workspace feels very open ans easy on the eye. Other apps feel cluterred. Download the free demo and keep an open mind, What would you be crossgrading from?

What is the countdown on the 3dcoat page counting to?

It works very well, you can use most or maybe all renderman renderers with. It not by pixar. I used it with Blue Moon Render Tools. The name AYAM | MAYA .

The big problem for Messiah is getting new people to try their software, the market for animation software does appaer to be saturated at the moment with good products so making any inroads would be difficult. In the short term they might not be making much money but if people like it they then go on to purchase future upgrades at full price. 3D Coat has fewer competitors and also has some unique features which make it worth trying. Messiah works with 3D coat so you can save changes and render. It must be very frustrating for the developers at Messiah knowing they have a good product but finding it difficult to grab people's attention. But I suppose thats business.

It's my understading that when sculpting a horse you simply chip away at the bits that don't look like a horse. Who would have known it was that simple.

Good, well observed sculpt. Can I ask why you are on only using the one voxel layer, I thought by putting the jaw bone on a seperate layer you would be able to get inside the object and hollow out the skull cavity.

Hi this is the start of a new idea, its a cross between a mushroom and a jellyfish. Hope to texture and animate the jellies breaking away and floating into the sky.
