  1. Marvelous Designer is the ultimate (CLO3d is the commercial version for actually manufacturing clothes).
  2. https://www.behance.net/gallery/86856535/Audi-R18?tracking_source=for_you_feed_activity 3DS Max, Corona Renderer, 3D Coat Totally mind blowing work.
  3. One million one hundred seventy nine thousand can't be wrong.
  4. I wish there was a video of you doing this. https://obsproject.com/ Free, and does webcasts and records your screen (or parts thereof) while you work. It does audio too.
  5. Aha, the plot thickens; so this is where he's getting a lot of his stuff from, like that shortest path algorithm... https://www.sidefx.com/tutorials/game-development-toolset-overview/ https://github.com/sideeffects/GameDevelopmentToolset https://plugins.cgrecord.net/2018/03/download-physics-painter-for-houdini.html If Pascal can learn Houdini to that level in one year that means only one thing; time to go into hyperdrive and step up our game. https://www.sidefx.com/learn/game-tools/
  6. Also with all the talk of various render engines around here from Redshift to Radeon Pro Render to Cycles etc etc etc. some on this You Tube thread think Clarisse + Houdini is the ideal combo and I have to say when dealing with vast landscapes and intricate procedural models it does make a lot of sense. Note that the video talks of Terragen too but in fact all the terrain generation and rock forms are Houdini procedural models. https://www.behance.net/paqwak Pascal Beeckmans Gameloft Montréal Montreal, Quebec, Canada be.net/paqwak This guy's work just blows me away.
  7. Cycles vs free Octane for Blender 2.8 https://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=72241 It's getting really crazy now. I know Mike Pan. He's one of the devs for Cycles. He holds Blender meetups in Vancouver once a month. I was at one and mentioned the free Renderman for Blender. His eyes flashed and he said that Cycles was going to be better. I'm beginning to understand what he was saying.
  8. It would be nice if you included some screen shots of your working process. These were done in 3d Coat or some other programs as well?
  9. Sergey says he got to this point by studying the techniques of Anthony Eftekhari and Dylan Cole https://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/instructors/dylan-cole
  10. This guy gets into the technology deeper than the rest. No modeling whatsoever. "It would be impossible for us to model the entire world". But the entire world is in this sim in detailed 3D. Movement of air masses.
  11. https://www.blendermarket.com/products/photorealistic-eye-generator- Infinite eyes This is a generator of procedural eyes (mathematically generated) based on cycles nodes for Blender, this is able to generate both the part of the iris and the sclera. The part of the iris besides the bump map also works as a displacement map, to get more realistic results. With this product you will be able to generate infinite photorealistic quality eyes.
  12. Forget Death Stranding, forget Black Shark 2...I'm getting this..
  13. Azure AI + satellite imagery = 3D graphics of amazing realism. No need for modelers, at all. But it's not RTX at all.
  14. This guy got invited to MS headquarters in Seattle to an official presentation of its alpha, just this last September. Flight sims are getting pretty awesome these days with DCS and Lockheed PrePar3D but even taking that into consideration the stuff he reviews in MS FS 2020 is really impressive and as a wannabe computer artist, extremely humbling.
  15. And that's free now? Incredible. We are rapidly entering an era of amazing intellectual and aesthetic riches.
  16. Is that optically correct caustics or is that the faked variety? I've been reading about this and I can never make out which render engine or which settings produce one or the other. That picture you posted does look impressive. I've heard VRay is powerful but not physically correct overall in it's lighting effects for example. How long will Lux Core be free for I wonder? Its results look pretty impressive on its gallery page.
  17. That undercarriage looks really good.
  18. While we're on the topic of the competition, let's see what Zbrush is up to in their development at last 2019 Zbrush summit.. Skip the BS and go to the 10 minute mark.
  19. "Elastic Deform" in Blender's sculpt room. That looks very cool (8:30 mark). Also that pose tool
  20. https://wiki.blender.org/wiki/Reference/Release_Notes/2.81 http://www.cgchannel.com/2019/10/check-out-the-new-features-in-blender-2-81/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+cgchannel%2FnHpU+(CG+Channel+-+Entertainment+Production+Art) https://builder.blender.org/download/
  21. Very nicely done. Thanks for sharing this with us.
