  1. oops, yes, it caused a bad freeze here too... and yes, the script ist meant for volumes, I haven't experimented much with ppp yet, I have to admit I guess it crashed when trying to switch a non existant volume to surface mode. there is another log.txt in your script folder, maybe there are more infos there, but probably not. (here, there where none except my own "print" instructions...) here is a fixed version of the paint script, checking for the first volume's existance before continuing, here it avoids this crash... Thanks for testing! PaintHighLow.script.txt
  2. oops.. sorry I'm on mac, 4.0.0.3 (GL64) can you check in the log.txt file in your 3dCoat data folder? there might be a way to debug that...
  3. Hi I have the same OS X 10.8.4 on an imac I can reproduce a similar crash using the split tool in the voxel room: Cut a volume once, select child volume, cut it > freeze... This does not occur when I first rearrange the volumes and bring the child to the root level ! All in all, stability is great, this is so far the only reproducable bug I've encountered... Keep up the good work!
  4. Great that you like it, a few explanations then ) in the first lines of the script are parameters you might want to tweak a bit every time you use it... smoothing : painting :
  5. Hi all not sure if this is the right context but here goes ) the cloth tool is great, and more physic based tools would be fun. here just a few ideas: - spline based ropes and chains, dropping like cloth, but just setting the curve control points - directional collision based damage (negative volumes maybe) to scratch or indent surfaces in "exposed" places, erosion - force and turbulence objects/regions (not just gravity) in the cloth tool (and the future physic sandbox )
  6. hi all, just a couple of simple yet useful batches.. Paint High Low Voxel batch // Adds two fill layers, first, with foreground color as "Less in cavity", second, with background color as "More in cavity". Smooth all volumes // Apply "Smooth all" to each volume in tree that is NOT in surface mode. have fun PaintHighLow.script.txt SmoothAllVolumes.script.txt
