I've finally got time to work on this.
There is still a lot more to do with the textures and the lighting/render but it's getting there.

Great sculpt! You might want to add more color variations on the skin though. Around the eyes, lips and nose.

Sorry for the late reply, got busy with work.
The model is in voxels, it was around 10 millions but I downgraded to 2 mil now, it looks more or less the same.
I don't plan on modeling the entire body, but doing a close up shot like in my last render.

I've added the fins started to put in more details.
I think next will be refining the skin, adding teeths and starting on the textures.

Nice works, I've used 3D coat in the same way to create all the environment for a mobile game.
It's a great tool for that purpose.
Sorry I can't help you for that stretch face, since you said the uvs are fine.

Hi,
I'm starting a small new project, a great white shark.
I'll be modeling and texturing it in 3d coat.
Once the model is done I'll try to make a nice underwater scene and render it in mental ray.

You are right about the flamme Tony. I decided for a daytime lighting at the end, having the candle lit seemed weird.

Hi,
I've been using 3d Coat for about a year and a half.
I've rendered this image in mental ray, all the props were modeled in 3d Coat.
