  1. Thanks for the answer and for demonstrating it with pictures, got a lot better result now.
  2. So the problem is that I'm unable to get some detail from highpoly to lowpoly, some pictures to demonstrate. Low and highpoly together. Shell with highpoly under it. Result is that there is no depth, or very little on the outer cavity wall, i tried adjusting shell size and adding/removing edge loops but nothing really helped. Originally i had a small cavity in the lowpoly model to match the highpoly, but it produced pretty bad quality maps. And this is what the highpoly looks like. Also got a second question, is there any way to get rid of this uneven edge shown below
  3. Thanks for confirming that it wasn't just me. And yeah, i also figured that just declining the second apply fixes it.
  4. Picture shows the problem. I have been using directx version for a long time with no problems like this, but now when i finally tried opengl i realized it is much much faster and not sluggish all the time. This problem only appears on opengl version and only after i apply uv map (apply uv set in uv room, switch to paint room, get asked again if i want to apply uv changes, click yes and then this). This also happens on any object, cube in picture is default cube with nothing done to it.
  5. As the title says. I have been using 3d coat for a while now because i think it's a great tool for texturing and usually everything goes smoothly, but now i need some help. http://imgur.com/MIq1DlI,WU8pk8C,XdxQc9C#0 The problem is that the uv maps look uneven and warped and i would like to know how to make them more even and what causes this. One possibility is that i'm just mapping it badly and in that case i could also use some tips how to do it better
