  1. Hello, I am on Win 7 64-bit Ultimate, this machine is always off of the internet. I am running on a GeoForce GTX 550 Ti, with the latest drivers. The machine has 32 GB of memory. I was running in 3D-Coat- V4_8-37-64. Since I have rarely had a problem I stupidly deleted the working version. I downloaded and tried to run 3D-Coat-V4_9-05 and I got an error (...c0000005). I usually run in GL mode. When that did not work I tried V4_9-04, 03, 02 and even tried V...8-39. 8-39 gave the same the same error. Even the DX mode does not work. I downloaded the newest VC_ redistx64, downloaded and replaced OpenCL in the System\Win32 directory, deleted the directories in \mydocuments. I stopped the Antivirus. I rebooted several times. I even reinstalled the video driver. What else can I do? Oh, and since this machine is off of the internet to void ransomware, even though I have a license, the program is trying to connect to the internet and hence the license is not working. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, JeMex
  2. I am not sure where this should go. Suppose I start in the voxel mode with a sphere (or any other regular primitive). Next I then go to the freeform primitive, which can be any of them, and I add that freeform object to the sphere - no Boolen operations. I now maniuplate the freeobject and apply. The result is a combined object that is not a smooth surface. As a matter of fact the operation upon the freeobject does not produce a smooth object either. Now I will have a manipulated object (combination of sphere and freeobject) and I am ready to do some operation on it. Next I perform an axial operation. The result is a very rough looking object with edges that are not sharp. Given that I start with voxels, shouldn't the operation bring about a smooth surface? In one of the tutorials by Jarvis, one of the tutorials shows a wrap tool video and those appear to be fairly sharp. He does a lot of operations, but all of his finished objecs appear to have sharp edges, not "rough" edges as are produced by my manipulations of the kind that I get. It appears that the freeobject primitive is the problem and not the regular primitives. Jarvis may be using regular primitives, while I am using a combination of regular and freeX primitives. I am on 3.5.14, but I have had this problem in all of 3.5.x builds. Here is an example of which I speak (see attached screenshot). I am a beginner in this program. My thanks in advance.
