Does anyone have problems with Text Spline on Painting Room? Can't paint on the model, only its UV.

Hi, there.
Can someone explain me the workflow for rendering animations inside 3D-Coat? Maybe a link or something.
It shows a dialog box but I don't really understand what it means.

I'm planing on teach 3D-Coat here in Brazil. I started introducing the Software to one of my Cinema 4D's student and we (he actually) came with this:
I think its pretty good for a couple of tries.
Also, I created a video introduction on the subject. Portuguese only.

Hi there.
Here in Brazil some people are interested on learning 3D-Coat. I'm planning to create an online Cartoon Character training course using mostly 3D-Coat... so do I need anything special in order to do this? That would be a portuguese only course. But maybe some subtitles?

Proxy Slider is such a great feature. I already docked mine, I think Andrew must make it already docked somewhere in order to make it easier for all users. -
The new proxy slider is amazing. Thanks! Would be good to have a slider to add resolution though. What do you think?

1. Procedural noises, specially for texturing
Right now, there is no (complex) noise creator inside 3d-Coat, and only on sculpt room. That would be great for sculpting and texturing, but specially texturing. Why? Because, right now, Smart Materials are totally dependent of user textures. So, if you don't have an extensive library of noises and grunge maps, you can't create anything great with smart materials at all.
2. Non destructive smart materials
Smart Materials are great, but would be greater if we have a way to make changes on the material without the need to re-apply them on the layers and objects, or even without have several intances of the same smart material while creating them and testing out.
3. Quick UV Editor toggle visibily button
Having the texture UV editor window fixed may take away precious screen space while have to go trough menus and dock it again can be somewhat annoying. So would be great to have a button to display some viewports on Paint Room: one with the models only, one with the UV editor, one with both side by side. Exactly like Substance Painter actually.
4. Layer maks like Photoshop
I heard that this feature is coming, but would be great to know more about it in order to give suggestions.
5. A real smoothing option for painting
I'm painting right now some 8k textures. There is no way for blending colors in any way while painting. The smoothing (shift) does nothing at all, unfortunatelly.6. Sculpt layers
This is a non-brainer. Cinema 4D, Modo, and many other software uses. I may be wrong, but it seems that only 3D-Coat doesn't have a feature like this.-

Even C4D and Modo have sculpt layers. 3D-Coat need this feature asap. -

I got a lot of crashes on 4.7.13 while creating primitives with the click on place checked, while transfirming the gizmo and when I hit apply. The same scene on 4.7.6 worked just fine with the same workflow.

What is strange is that I modelled using some "real world" dimensions. Not like its big on the original program, due the fact that everything there looks absolutely normal.
I import the geometry to the sculpt room and it seems actually pretty small there. I have to zoom a lot on the viewport to see anything. -

NOTE: I didn't modelled on 3d-Coat, just imported a mesh on Paint Room. -
Hi there.
I am under the impression that my smart materials does not work as it should due to my scene scale when imported my mesh on PPP workflow.
is there any way to change this in 3D-Coat or do I need to change this manually where I modelled?

I just created a tutorial about texture baking on 3D-Coat. It's pretty simple actually and it's in portuguese, but maybe it can help someone here. I wish to be fluent on english to help more people.

Strange. I have a fairly good machine and 3D-Coat freezes like it's running on a low end computer.

I guess I'm facing a new problem. Sync layers with external editor does not work.
The layers shows up on Photoshop. Every new layer is displayed on 3D-Coat. However, all the other layers (created previously on 3D-Coat) and the meshes disappeared.
When using the Projection function, everything Works fine.
