  1. I don't really want to wait to learn the program. i will reprint when th enew manual comes out. I have plenty of paper and ink. Thanks, Ken
  2. I am using my first and last All In One Acer Aspire computer. They seem to be a glorified laptop that does most of what a PC does. Pretty powerful. The only reason I mentioned it was the difference between the intro volume and the narrator volume. The tutorials from 3d Coat seem to work fine. Don't really think it is my computer. I am not concerned about it as I have found other sources for information. Ken
  3. I have since found a new way to get more information. I notice there are some viedos on the main website that are fine. i can use them and the manual I have made. (I discovered a lot of answers to my questions when I made the Table of contents to the 190 page manual.) Thanks again. Ken In case you didn't notice, I am in the Philippines so I sleep a lot when others are awake. I am used to waiting for a day for an answer to questions. Ken
  4. The one that stopped me was found on General 3D Coat>New Users> Intro to 3D coat:Overview. I think it may be the ones by the same author. Possibly has the mic volume turned down some or something. I have noticed this on other software Tutorials also so it seems to be a common problem when recording. I did find some in other places that were a bit more advanced and had great volume. Thanks, Ken
  5. I learned a new secret to learning what is in the program. 1. Download the 190 page manual that is in the help tab of the program. 2. It does not have a Table of Contents so print it out. 3. Take the time to make a Table of Contents. When you ahve finished this task which will probably take a day or so if you go at my speed, you will have at least heard about every feature in the program and found a few that you didn't know where there. You will also be able to use the manual if you print it out as it has page numbers. I printed mine out and bound it with thread and now have a nice book to use. Now I will learn faster. Just wanted to let everyone know. Ken
  6. I don't know if it the voice of the narrator or the adjustment of the microphone device used but it seems the volume of th elead in 3D Coat screen is fine but as soon as the narrator begins to speakl the volume drops down to a level i cannot hear even with my speakers turned all the way up and the volume on the tutorials turned all the way up. I have tried this on many different tutorials and it always seems to be the same. I have even tried my headset with no luck. is there any way to have the volume on future tutorials bumped up a bit for those of us who may have hearing problems? Ken
  7. I wouldn't know how to use it. i am currently going through a book on modeling called digital modeling by William Vaughn and he goes through the different ways to model things. He was using the point to point method in the firest example to model a logo for a company and wanted us to make one. He goes on to do other types also. Very good book but the only programs that seem to follow his book are Maya and expensive ones. I may have to be content to use blender or something like that until I figure out what I am doing. I am new at modeling and am not real sure just what i am doing yet. I do have the Edu version of 3DC now though. I am learnign from it and others. Thanks, Ken
  8. I purchased the Edu one last night. I will be busy for a few days doing people work and then back to this work. It is a Holiday season here. Ken
  9. I have been trying to modl using points and polys. Is this possible with 3d Coat? I cannot seem to find any way to get a mesh on the screen. Ken Also, I just downloaded 3D coat a few days ago and the screen says I only have 3 days left on the trial. I still have not got much to work for me.
  10. The main spec I had that was missing was not in the computer. Ignorance of the different ways to do things with the program. I am fixing that one now and things are beginning to work out. I have a new CPU coming in a few weeks so things will be a lot faster then. I am not getting it for this program but for another that will be released in December. (iClone6). I also plan to move up to 2 monitors if possible. Ken
  11. Whatever I was doing wrong seems to have been corrected now. I am only having problems making my model look like the one in the tutorial. that comes with practice, practice, practice. My move tool doesn't seem to move into the body to make it as smooth as his does but I think that may be something to do with the way things are set up. If I raise the radius to about 80 then it makes a straight cut. If I lower it to 5 or 10 it cuts in too small and makes a chopped side to the move part. I am at least finding out what some of the other tools do. I think I am on my way to finishing up something and then growing from there. Thanks a lot for all the help. Ken
  12. With all of this, I should be busy for at least today and tomorrow unless I get distracted. I am determined to figure it out so I can move on to my movie. thanks everyone. Ken
  13. Thanks. I am way above that. Guess my problem is somewhere else. Ken
  14. I have been looking around the site and cannot find them. This may be my problem though i doubt it right now. I need to know if my computer is up to speed for the program. Ken
