  1. I mean to bake the sculpt details to the low poly . Maybe you just imported in the paint room for per pixel painting?
  2. Just had to share this!!!! AMAZING WORK ON 3D MODELLING with PRIMITIVES from the DEV team. Thank you so much for adding those. 1) Primitives 2) Select vertices 3)Transform 4) Split 5) DONE Then retopo to sculpt , do your sculpt details and bake 2 in 1 . This was made in around 10 minutes , 15 MAX , faster 3d modeller EVER USED SO FAR. Note to new users : DEFINITELY GO IN TO THIS PATH , it takes a bit of time to get used to it but once you get the hang of it IT ROCKS Note to the Dev team : AWESOME WORK SO FAR , IF possible 1) A bridge tool 2) more primitives!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH. Hopefully i lower the different softwares i use in my main workflow thanks to 3D Coat.
  3. Many thanks for the reply , freezes on backspace as well , forgot to mention it. Must be the additional VR space i added that causes the continues auto save (even when autosave is disabled) and the freeze as well.   4. Cheers Jamie , not going to help at this point (checking tutorials for other softs) as Renderman implementation for 3dc is not final , . Getting issues as well with volume shader , in fact i am getting lots of issues the last couple days but i quess it my system being under hardware upgrade.
  5. I think Don (AbnRanger) did the buggy scene. Still experimenting myself with Renderman with 3DC , using it with Houdini sometimes but still experimenting with 3DC. More or less what this thread is showing is what it can be done so far.
  6. 4.8.03 latest upload , need someone to make a quick test. 1) Curves line (default) voxels 2) While making the curve points hit ctrl Z to undo a point 3) 3D Coat hangs up and i must close it from the task manager and restart. MIGHT BE ONLY ME , it gives me hard times the last 3 hours. Win 10 Many thanks.
  7. Just tried , no problem here , cant replicate even if i import a second model and retopo / bake it , using latest beta 4.8.03.
  8. Hmmmm , unfortunately cant replicate right now , but yeah this shouldn't be happening. I will try to replicate today at some point if nobody else answer on this and come up with a solution for you.

You can add as many parts as your uv space allows , there is not a problem with the additional background base color (grey) If you are using the unity plug in , then , those are the correct values (exported) in order to use with Unity. Plus , for unity export it contains other values as well if you check the export preset. Glossiness or Roughness in metallic (reason you are getting different result) Albedo alpha etc

  11. What export preset are you using? Each export preset gives different values / results. You should use the pbr default export ---> Pbr Metalness

  13. I would prefer GL as well. Try at the sandbox area of the antivirus or the quarantine area , not so familiar with AVG anymore.
  14. Hmmmm , have Avira and it passed ok. There is no way of having a virus by the way. Disable the antivirus , and install , it will work fine , then re enable the antivirus.
  15. By default, the units in Unity are meters. I think 3d coat is mm since if you use the measure tool it starts as mm in default. (Edit its meters as well) Andrew is correct of course on what he says , now if there is a bug in something i am not in a position to know since in my workflow Maya LT , Houdini , 3D Coat everything works fine.
  16. Uploading rusty metals , rust etc V2 for the Post Apocalyptic weapon collection as we speak. They all came out SUPER REALISTIC THANKS TO the new normal adjustments on 3D Coat 3.8.03 and my NEW technique of making those series.
  17. I will explain how they can be used in a mini tutorial. Those are base materials , can be used with or without normal maps, so artists after applying them then can paint over the light details or use the 3d coat baked light with AO and curvature. Those materials can give you 1) a very detailed base to paint over 2) If you use the weathering effect (shines , light , damages etc etc all will be included) you can have a detailed hand painted style model with out hand painting a lot or even at all. Everything will come clear in the tutorial.

  19. Oh , wasn't referring to anyone's comments here Marco , noticed some of the reported bugs as well , but to be honest i am so happy for the improvements that didn't care much . Just giving up some points to 3D Coat Development for the good work. BUT i also agree that bugs DO NEED to be REPORTED of course.
  20. If we let aside the small bugs (normal for a major release) i noticed A HUGE PERFORMANCE BOOST on painting and smart material preview / read tweak. Really and truly satisfied from this update. Many thanks for all the hard work Andrew and team.

  24. RAW 3D Coat Render after the base painting. EVERYTHING is procedural material , haven't copied / paint over a thing from the original concept. Around 120 materials so far and i am preparing 2 more collections based on this new REALISTIC technique!!!!! I am starting to uploading the materials and brushes , after upload the discount will end. For the tutorials i will try to finish and upload in the next couple days as well.
