Hello, I am using windows 7 pro and I installed simple 3d coat from the link on the first page, I set an exchange folder in the 3d coat 4.5 folder in program files, I installed the addon while setting the exchange folder in the path, but when I press export object i get an error "access denied", please help^^
  2. Hi there, Is it possible to edit primitives to add more points? For exemple considering the screenshot below I would like if possible to do a loop cut, or to customise the available parameter for the cage, it would be very useful to sketch up a character for exemple if I could extrude some faces too. Can I do this? Thanks in advance for your help
  3. Hi, Is it possible to extrude and bevel faces in 3D Coat like the zmodeler feature in Zbrush? For hard surfaces it can be much more handy than cutting and flattening parts of the mesh
  4. yes of course I exactly meant that, not to put more physics in 3d coat but to go back and forth between the engine and the sculpt program to make adjustments quickly relatively to the simulated behaviour of meshes in the engine, sorry it was apparently not clear and anyway this feature is already there for many programs^^'. It would be cool though to do an applink with unreal engine 4, it is a powerful and very accessible engine :-)

  6. Sure, but a large part of users sculpt models to be exported in game engines. So for these users easy back and forth of 3d coat with game engines would really be an improvement as it would allow to more easily adjust sculpts so that they are more usable, for example adjusting armor parts so that they collide well with each other, and then actually it would make the sculpting process better from a game developer perspective.
  7. Hi, I would like to suggest this feature because I think it would help a lot in simplyfing the mesh export workflow of course but also in physics testing for video games. For example you would like that the clothes in your model works well once in a game engine, but going back and forth between the modeling program and the game engine to make adjustments is quite tedious, if you could just export your scene quite seamlessly it would be interesting. I know that 3d coat has a cloth simulator, however the mesh colliders are not necessarily the same and so to have good estimates of how the physics are going to work out it is better to see it in a game engine. Also, there can be other simulations than cloth, why not skin simulation with soft bodies, or rigid bodies for machines parts? Making the gears rotation actually produce movement would be a great improvement in realism, because now though it is possible to do very nice models it is all "plastic" and enabling more mechanics would be very nice I think in terms of gameplay new possibilities (e.g damage system less based on hp). Making more seamless the integration between modeling apps and 3d engines to make better fit the design and how things actually work out in the game would be quite a leap^^
  8. Hello, I am 23 and I live in Switzerland. I do 3d modeling as a hobby and after a few years on blender and sculptris I moved two days ago to 3d coat for modeling, sculpting, and texturing. It looks very cool though I am still learning how to use it. Happy to be here with you :-)
  9. Hi there, I recently acquired an educational version of 3d coat 4.1.17D for OSX. I would like to know please how do you do to use the retopologised mesh in the voxtree? What I tried to do for example is to auto retopologise the basic sphere to say 3000 triangles. It works and I have a retopologised mesh in the retopo room. But it doesn't appear in the voxtree, instead it is into retopo groups which I can't access and sculpt in the sculpt room. My second question is about the shape keys, how do you do it in the new versions? I would like to pose my mesh and export the shape key to blender. Thanks a lot, Arkanis
