So is there a way to draw a 2d vector and extrude that profile? Was thinking I might have to create a primitive block and cut it using a 2d profile. Is that possible too? I could not get it to work.

I saw that you were able to import a vector and use it, but I was looking for a way to Draw or Sketch my vector in 3DC. I come from mostly an engineering background. I used those screenshots to show how I do it in Geormagic Freeform to explain what I was looking to do. It seems cumbersome to have to draw the profile/sketch in another software then bring it in to extrude.

I apologize ahead of time if I am asking a question that is already answered but I could not see this asked yet. I just want to know how to do a simple extrude. I attached 2 pics of what I mean. These are from a different software. I just want to take a 2d profile and extrude it in a direction.
