  1. Hello everyone! 2nd post here After a few successful attempts with the pbr materials, I was curious to see how 3D coat would cope painting on multiple objects with multiple uv tiles. I started with 6 objects with 28 tiles(it was a bad idea) then reduced them to just two objects with 10 tiles. The biggest hurdle so far was calculating the AO. Baking AO on multiple objects simultaneously took a very long time and produced some bad results. On the other hand, baking individual objects produced better AO maps but I had to import them individually. The program ran smoothly for the most part, but It would sometimes crash while merging layers. I also noticed that some of the materials assigned to the objects will be replaced by the udim tiles in the "surface material" panel. Here are some of the textures applied to a glossy shader in Blender. I'm still figuring out what's the best way to make use of the metalness textures and also bring out more of the dust textures.
  2. Hello.... My name is Jon. I've known about(and used) 3D coat since 2012 while studying in college, but I sort of lost interest after graduating. Got into 3D coat again this year after trying pbr painting, and it pretty much stood out from all the 3D painting programs I tried recently. Anyway since I'm using the program more often now, I though this would be a good time to join and participate in the forums. Cheers!
