  1. when / As you use Auto-retopo the last pop-up screen when you can name your UV set theres a list of options you can check on/off it is there below triangulate .
  2. I would check the base model in blender that the face normal s are all facing out. Edit mode bring up the N panel > down to normal s face select to see if all the nomals are facing out. hard to see in screen shot but that area looks darker I think. you could also hit W menu > remove doubles . Worth a look I find it on models I think are good to go but have this . I usually bring the model in the paint room and fill it with a color to see it right away problem faces. Hope it helps.
  3. Oh Yeah that's the stuff right there . Love the blue in the canisters and the screen reflect on lens. I am guessing the figurehead Falcon s eyes are the camera for the screen. I would like to see the back of car view before I order one .

I am guessing this was not fixed as top view gives you top right view , bottom left view. right side view shows you the left side of model . your in right side viewing mode but it shows you the left side of your model . Why would I want to see the left side in right side view? Then I say how does one say that's fine its good enough . I just expect not except more from 3dc . A little tlc for the basic things. Just some venting ... on with my day.
  5. build 4.7.07 I would of liked the Top view to be facing to the front not to the right side .
  6. a very cool design . Looks as if it could be on land or in water . Unless its a triple threat with wings tucked in its back like a ladybug lol.
  7. fyi I just did it for Blender cyles preset OBJ and Textures and all is working for me win 8.1 4.7.07 DX 64 I used a default Model . Just did with a custom Model also and all worked.
  8. just wondering if you mean bevel or crease as in to sharpen / edge crease (keep a hard edge) . or you want the edges at a 45 degrees bevel ? or a hard edge at 90 .
  9. a late post here it looks as if your smart mat layer is above the A.O. and Cavity mask layer.
  10. I think you have to be in surface Mode . (S) You are in / using Voxels (V) . Just Left click on the V in the voxtree that layer.

  12. to which room are you importing Paint, Retopo, Sculpt ? Does your model have a material on it when importing it. The paint Room up top Textures >Import > then pick where you saved the map.
  13. I am on 4.7.01 DX in paint room with all channels on when I paint the bottom of any object it is not as glossy /reflective as the rest. meaning when I rotate it to the top it should be all the same as the light is now on it. I must be missing a setting somewhere .
  14. I like 001 . same as Dimitribastos said with the contrast. I would keep the background simple and concentrate on the colors of it.
  15. when you used Instancer tool you had instance as child checked ? if yes then you can scale the original and all will fellow . you want to not have some do this? It works when I drag one above. Now that I can see your screen you have a copy _instan_ what tool did you use or steps taken. I am on 4.7.01
  16. I think I know what you want to do try in the ROOT area Left Click and drag the volume_inst above the main model you used to make copies of. guessing your in sculpt room using voxels and used the Instancer tool. hope it helps.
  17. Not sure if this is fixed in latest build . I am using 4.7.01 DX64 win 8.1 In paint room > shaders> add new then when I try to rename it = crash. Also if I add new then add new shader name it = crash . I did import a model in to ppp not sure if that matters. thanks.
  18. when in the sculpt room whit your model in it on the left under objects you will see IMPORT click on that then a window pops up chose select mesh to find your other model. there are other options on that pop up under auto scale so pick what you need.
  19. You could try changing how the mat is projected onto the model. On the long Preview Options where it says UV Mapping change that setting to cube mapping or from camera . myself when setting up a smart material I set the preferred mapping to From Camera as a jumping off point . That's just me. or hit the reset if you scaled it up to big.
  20. Love the rims and tires . The overall look is great I would only add 1 more subtle color somewhere . perhaps on the 3 tesla looking coils which are bad ass.
  21. looks great you did lose the chain on the last render must be doing burnouts . some rear pegs for some long rides stretch those legs out.
  22. try opening /loading that saved file and after its open hit shift a to zoom to it. then open or try the transform tool and look at the x,y,z, and set them at all zero . I could be just not in view or really small scale. worth trying or its something else.
  23. Thank you much I am off on my clicking game here lol having a bad run of what I think will work and trust me I try a bunch of ways before I give up. That works but every now and then if I type in a number that pairs up with the view numbers like 8 it works but also goes to that view Metalness no big deal to change back .
