Agreed, I think the standard PBR export should work but it'd be nice to have that option in 3Dcoat specifically for RS...

Very nice! Thank you.

How would I go about color picking something in a smart material color that is outside of 3Dcoat? Like a google image for example. Thanks, Dave

ZbrushCore, a new streamlined version of Zbrush (Indie?)
DaveMW replied to RabenWulf's topic in CG & Hardware Discussion
True this definitely seems like a response to 3Dcoat especially with all the attention it's getting from industry professional artists like the Learnsquared team. However you can buy a ZBCore and 3DCoat license for about half the price of a Zbrush R4.8 license. 3Dcoat can basically bridge all of the missing features. Competition is good for the consumer and I can't really see Zbrush ever been "streamlined" in the same sense as 3Dcoat. It's a fundamental UI problem IMO. But ZBCore looks enticing I may give it a go as most things I sculpt in 3Dcoat end up becoming "mushy". -
Educational to Professional - where do I put my key?
DaveMW replied to sazberryftw's topic in General 3DCoat
Hey I just did the same thing although I basically just reinstalled it. -
I already like the changes I've seen on the front page. Instead of putting the videos in a grid having them in a row looks a lot more pleasing to the eye.

Agreed it could put many people off of the software. Nobody wants to feel as if someone is pushing an agenda at them even if it's not true. I honestly think just a small disclaimer saying "Please think about how you use our software, try to promote values that are... human life blah blha blah" you don't even have to mention religion.

Ah nice! it would be nice however to make sure new forum is accessible as possible for new comers. Make sure everything is visible and easy to navigate without irritation.

Yea if we could get a dark skin for this forum that'd be great! For instance when viewing which users are online people with yellow text(new users) are completely unreadable. Also the images on the front-page of the site are pixelated and the features section should be collapsible, right now they only collapse when clicking on a new feature.

Ok so here is how I fixed my frustrating zooming problem w/ my Intuos4 tablet. I went into the tablet properties>tool>Grip Pen>Options... and switched the right click from "hover" to "click and tap". Works phenomenally.

I hear 3d Coat goes on sale around Christmas time.
DaveMW replied to cj31387's topic in General 3DCoat
Hmm so if I wanted to upgrade from my educational version how much you'd think that'd run me? -
Hmmm I'll try that tonight. I'll edit my post when it's fixed.

Hey thanks for the response. I have remapped the buttons several times it's more along the lines of the act of zooming. It's like it doesn't understand whether to zoom in or out so I just get this jiggle back and forth. I'll try reinstalling the drivers and adjusting the sensitivity. Do people actually use wacom tablets in 3DCoat?

So I just bought 3DCoat and I'm trying to use a wacom tablet. Unfortunately the right click zooming is nearly impossible to get around. It's jumping all over the place. Anyone have a work around or fix for this?

Hello everyone, I was wondering what your setups are for using 3DCoat on a 1440p monitor. Currently my text is slightly blurry. Anyway to fix this? Thanks EDIT: Found the fix on Windows 10. So if the icon is on your task bar you're going to have to right click it, a dropdown menu will appear, then right click on the 3Dcoat icon in the new drop-down menu and go to properties. In properties go to the compatibility tab and turn off "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings". I've included an image below(ignore left monitor, too lazy to edit atm.) https://www.dropbox.com/s/qzjctx5b1kzo5do/Screenshot%202015-10-22%2021.49.02.png?dl=0
