  1. from the export options in 3d coat I simply enabled export geometry low poly version, then maya mental ray setup and thats it. In 3d coat 4.0 I had no issue with the flipping uvs, all gave 1 type of shaded uvs and its easy to flip them around in maya.
  2. I tried 3d coat to export auto mapped uv model to Maya the uvs have both red and blue shaded ones, how do I make sure all are blue shaded. From maya i did freeze transform on the model and no flipped normals then imported into 3d coat for auto uv mapping.
  3. i dont knw why 3d coat got really complicated used 4.0 before had no problem with the flipping uvs
  4. Im just using File->export obj and textures , then only ticked "Export Geometry", low poly mesh, Export preset set to Maya Mentalray, then pressed "Ok" yes
  5. this is the image
  6. sorry not texturing, im using File->New-> UV map mesh and selecting Auto mapping.
  7. Im using 4.7 and when I bring a mesh(symetrical) from Maya with good normals (and no inversed normals - also did freeze transformations so no black areas), do the UVing in 3d coat and take it back to maya I get blue shaded uvs along with the red shaded uvs. The red shaded uvs are from the duplicated and mirrored meshes. How do I make sure the all the uvs are blue shaded???
