I didn't know where to post this, but I wanted you all to know about the smooth tool having a lot of lag in 4.7.27. I opened the same project in version 4.7.20 and the smoothing tool works just fine there. Something to fix. Btw I love the new baking method with the removal of the spheres of influence. Good change!

[Solved] 360 painting has crease
Stumpytwig replied to Stumpytwig's topic in SOS! If you need urgent help for 3DCoat
Nevermind! I figured it out! When I pasted my saved jpeg file that 3d coat generated, I neglected to scale it to 8000x4000 before pasting it onto Jama Jurabaev's template photo.- 1 reply

When I attatch the file and send the email, I receive an email back saying that my message has been blocked by support@3dcoat.com : "The response from the remote server was: 552 5.3.4 Message size exceeds fixed limit" -
Can't bake anything-crashes

I installed the latest version off the website 4.7.20. It crashes whenever I try to bake it. When I switch mapping to "auto mapping" it kiiiinda works, giving me this. -
Hey everyone. I'm having this issue of not being able to bake. Every time it crashes. Is there something I'm missing?

Separate tool problem
Stumpytwig replied to Stumpytwig's topic in SOS! If you need urgent help for 3DCoat
anybody? -
I'm trying to use the separate tool, but when I do it causes the faces to disappear rather than separate to a new retopo layer. It seems to be only happening in this file and I'm not sure why.

Black patches over normal mesh
Stumpytwig replied to Stumpytwig's topic in SOS! If you need urgent help for 3DCoat
So I'm moving the spheres around and look at this. It seems maybe the spheres are helping by removing patches, but also adding some back in. Look at that curved black patch. -

Yes sir. I redid the retopo for the hood, unwrapped, baked, spheres, and this is what I'm given -
Black patches over normal mesh
Stumpytwig replied to Stumpytwig's topic in SOS! If you need urgent help for 3DCoat
Alright so I'm still getting black holes in my mesh even though the spheres all seem to be in appropriate places... Any other suggestions? -
I've run into this problem multiple times where I've been working with the spheres of influence, and for reasons such as shutting down for the day, or the program crashing, I lose all of my spheres and I need to start that process completely over. It's just whenever the program is shut down. Is there some way that can be saved even when the program is closed?

Black patches over normal mesh
Stumpytwig replied to Stumpytwig's topic in SOS! If you need urgent help for 3DCoat
I'll try that. Also I'm curious why the checkered pattern fades away completely at some parts of the mesh? Is that okay? -
Hello again XD I need help! Why are there black patches over my normal mesh? I used the spheres of influence correctly didn't I? What's going on? (We're only looking within the red box)
