  2. I second that, @MatCreator. It'd be appreciated if you'd make a new post with your wishes, so there's a bigger chance the developers will notice. I'd like to ask @Brenner the same regarding a proper Inflate / Deflate brush.
  3. Welcome to the 3D Coat community! You could try this first: check the FPS rate at the bottom left of the UI. If the FPS rate is high, go to Preferences ➔ Viewport, and check the box “Vertical synchronization”. The FPS rate should now significantly reduce. This is also very beneficial for working with high-polygon scenes.

  5. Hi, When I activate the FFD function in the Pose tool, the lattice cage is displaced (not surrounding the selection area), and not all points seem to influence the deformation. 3DC version used: 2021.95

  7. At around 16:50 in this video the creator activates Fill With Mesh Layer for a curve, then clicks on an item in the Splines panel to have the item follow the curve. But when I try that, the old Curves tool gets activated and clicking on a Spline panel item doesn't make it follow the new curve type. Can anyone help me out?   8. Do you mean that the Autopo engine has been improved lately? Haven't tried that thoroughly since working with 4.x.

  10. Hi, Autoremesher is an auto-retopology algorithm that is better than Instant Meshes. Autoremesher is also still actively being improved. It would be great to have this in 3D-Coat: https://github.com/huxingyi/autoremesher Thanks in advance for considering this.
  11. Thanks @Hickz! Yes, Mike explains it very well. In Blender the Falloff ➔ Projected option does the same, although it only works in screen space, while ZBrush also offers the option to choose an axis for the infinite brush influence.
  12. @Brenner I agree, and I also really miss a deflate brush, or even better: an inflate brush that deflates when Control is held.
  13. I agree with @marsmotion that some more attention to stability and bug fixing would be much appreciated. But I'd also like to state that I am really enthusiastic about 3D Coat since my return and upgrade to version 2021. The new brush system feels better, and I think 3D Coat deserves much more attention / publicity in the CG media compared to the other big players in 3D creation. I'm coming from ZBrush and Blender, and ZBrush will very probably become subsciption-only soon, with Maxon price tags. That will render it useless to me as a small freelancer. Blender is a great overall 3D tool, but its Sculpt Mode development is a bit messy lately, with a separate Sculpt Dev build that's accumulating confusing options in various rollouts and tabs, and instability issues come with the new functionality. I've started and am maintaining an informative thread about 3D-Coat at the Blender Artists forum.
  14. Yeah, I hadn't initially mentioned that in my previous post because I'm confused whether the Pose tool line is meant to be Spacebar-dragged, or if Spacebar dragging is purely for working with shapes in the Pose tool's Paint mode? Anyway, here's the report.
  15. Welcome back @Andrew Shpagin! I've submitted this bug report, and this wish that would make me very happy. Regarding sticky keys I have this problem when using Spacebar to move the Pose tool gizmo. Many thanks in advance for having a look.
  16. Thanks @AbnRanger. I'll keep that in mind. @Silas Merlin I thought you did manage to move the Pose line gizmo while holding down Space, or did you mean moving shapes in the Pose tool's Paint mode?
  17. Hi, When I drag the Pose tool line gizmo, hold down the pen tip / LMB, and additionally press Spacebar to move the line, the Quick Access menu pops up. I've tried with both Wacom pen tip and left mouse-button, same issue. I've also tried switching from Wintab to Windows Ink in the Preferences, but the problem persists. When I reassign the Quick Access menu to a different keyboard shortcut, the Quick Access menu doesn't pop up anymore, but dragging the line with Spacebar pressed just doesn't move the line, as if Space is not triggered / recognized by the Pose tool. I'm using 3DC 2021.95 on Windows 10, latest Wacom driver (installed on January 29th). Any help (or possible bug fix) would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

  19. And another question... What's the easiest way to create a straightforward (non-radial) array / ordered number of copies of a layer? And is it possible to get the result into the same layer in stead of getting tens of layer copies? Thanks in advance!

Hi Brenner, Up to now I haven't found a brush that equals the Inflate brush of Blender and ZBrush, but you can import the attached presets to get a range of custom brushes in your Presets palette. Be aware though: a lot of those presets don't work anymore because they're referring to obsolete brush types since 3DC 2021. If you happen to find a better Inflate alternative, please let me know. I'm also used to ZBrush multi-level subdivision modeling, but I do have to say that I generally like the freedom of a dynamic workflow more, whether it's through revoxelization (3DC Voxel mode, ZBrush Dynamesh, Blender Voxel Remesh) or dynamic topology (3DC Surface mode, ZBrush Sculptris Pro, Blender Dyntopo). One of the real advantages of multi-level subdivision modeling is fully maintaining the low-poly UV mapping.
  22. This question doesn't really matter anymore, as I've just discovered the Axial tool. Perhaps that's the successor to the Radial Array layer menu item?
  23. I just wanted to try the Radial Array, but I don't see anything change in my scene. Does it work in Voxel mode?
