  1. Hello, I created an object that has a few layers. I merged them in the sculpt room on to a new layer before retopologizing and uv'ing. When I exported it to Blender, it exported the original layers plus the merged layer, so I have two identical objects now in Blender. I obviously need just the merged layer object. What am I doing wrong please?
  2. Hello, I have a character with body, arms and legs, all separate objects. I retopoed the body first, created UV's and baked. The UV's showed up fine in the Paint Room. Then I did the same thing with the arms and legs, but their UV's don't show in the Paint Room. So what am I missing? Thanks
  3. Thank you Falconius that's exactly what happened.
  4. Never mind. I figured it out. I had something selected in the "Strips" menu. I closed that selection. No more "stitches".
  5. Hi All, I was trying to find an alpha / brush setting to simulate stitches in fabric. In the process I seem to have changed something in the first Alpha that I use for just regular sculpting. I have tried to reset it but don't see any way to do so. Now when I want to just Build on my sculpt with that brush, I keep getting things that look like stitches. Any help would be appreciated. Is there a way to reload the original alpha/ brush settings or do I have to reload the program? Thank you
  6. I wonder why there isn't one standard setting for "UP" for all programs? I used the first method you suggested and it worked beautifully! Many thanks!
  7. I want to import my mesh from Blender into 3D Coat for Retopo. Every time the imported mesh is showing the wrong orientation in the camera. For instance, the Camera say "Top" but the mesh is in the "Front" position; or the Camera says "Front" but the mesh is in the "Bottom" position. I can't seem to get the "Transform" Gizmo to help with it because it is a "Reference Mesh" used for Retopo (I guess). Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?
  8. I have a follow-up question about the eyeball shader: I see that it always appears in the "camera" view. I would like to be able to move it along with the sphere's axis. Can that be done?
  9. Thanks Carlosan & Falconius! Just what I needed! One question: What's the best way to give the iris a crisp edge? The edges of my eye look jagged (aliased?) Do I need to increase the resolution of the sphere? Here's something else, all in 3DC: Let's say I create a model in one project and want to use it in another project. Is there a way to "append" a model from one file into another file so I don't have to recreate it? Thanks again for your help !
  10. Hello. I am pretty new here so bear with me please. I am trying to create an eye. So I have a sphere object and an image of an eyeball. I am trying to place the image onto the sphere. I saw a youtube video that describes a fairly straightforward process. I have tried this but can't find the PictMat_MatCap shader that he uses in this video in order to get his result, which looks great. I am working with the latest version of 3D Coat and wonder if this technique can currently be done? If not, would someone point me in the right direction? I just want to do a simple eyeball.
