  1. @geo_n i don't think what poly modelling in 3dcoat will be good as it's destructive way and never will be similar to 3ds max, blender etc. But maybe some feature will have like non-destructive boolean

  3. For me i am never saw crash log, it's just never created in 2021, and program freeze more often than crash. Here just crash at import model for per pixel painting with keeping uv, model from marvelous designer it looks heavy for 3dcoat to bake AO and also it produce artifacts on some parts. And no crash logs in Documents\3DCoat-2021 Hoodie Front pocket zipper.7z crash Hoodie Front pocket zipper-fix-no crash for AO.7z for AO
  4. Many render engines do not have that slot, and not many people using it because you baking on model AO according light and object position it is more accurate than in material. I wrote in previous post workaround
  5. I heard there will be soon node editor for smart materials, and you can mix AO with albedo. For now you can mix in photoshop and put texture to color slot. Also i think you can use inverted AO as opacity with black color on second layer, i think it will be similar result
  6. Bring to retopo, make model, update paint mesh from retopo to paint room and it will be there
  7. You mean to use AO as mask? is it big difference between AO and concave on one object?

  9. @Carlosan Don't CAD models have a lot of problems with converting to poly? I have always with it, holes and glitches, and there is no any good exporter.

  12. @Barrel but we have menu on space. in zbrush similar. In 3dcoat now you can create own room with tools what you need, set hotkey as you want. I do not understand why you need new menu with 10 buttons

I suppose it ask to remember scale because in 3dcoat you have to keep all scene in border of 3d grid to work properly all tools and 3dcoat may scale object for own needs because it calculate density of triangles for dynamic tessellation and other needs. Also you may take model from other software sculpt it and bring it back to another software and replace it , this workflow for photogrammetry fixing mesh and you have to keep scale

  15. In 3dcoat there is much more tools, press space and imagine how this menu should looks. And there is similar menu for stencils not very handy imho.

Tools on the left panel, under Pose as for 3. i do not know. all tools is on space key, and there is some keys for choosing, but i find it not very comfortable. by the way you can define hotkey on any command and tools , just hover on it and read popups. You can also make your preset with tool settings and alphas in Preset panel, it is empty for now, Andrew will add later. And i did asked Andrew to have search panel for all commands like in 3ds max for example at X key, if many people will asked about that maybe he will do it some day.

I am doubt what it's possible or will work well in 3dcoat because as i understand you want to make similar to nurbs
  18. But why do you need more paths than one? Your example can be made with only one path and profile
