  1. Is there an option to use pose tool deformation with curve? I am not talking about the painting option.
  2. deleting an edge in retopo room with mirror symmetry on, will not delete the edge on other side. edit : to add on selecting faces of one side and "move selected faces to current layer"(aka to another layer) doesnt mirror. Is it by design?
  3. encountered some very strange bugs. in 4.9.26 - the baking was weird for only one obj in the scene (shading was off), ``` was not copy and pasted UVs. ``` checked the thickness of the sculpt obj ``` recreate the retopo mesh ``` solution : was to change the shader material in sculpt room (?) - suddenly cant floodfill smart material to the obj in paint room ``` solution : had to change to another material before able to do so (?) - freeze tool in paint room, cant do "simple polygon" stroke.
  4. This is the first time that i have tried cloth. What worked were lowering the gravity and increasing subdivision in the tool options. Which also meant beefier machine is much preferred. Making coffee was faster than the cloth simulation. Here is a plate of imaginary noodles (virtual, not baked yet). Looks like it does self "intersection".
  5. It was turned off in paint room. Anyways i cant replicate the errors again by doing the same steps. Something that i have done earlier for that particular paint layer could have caused the issue.
  6. I have this strange mushroom issue. Please see the pic. Here was what had happened in sequence : - Baked mesh in retopo room. - show voxel in paint room = uncheck - painted the mesh in the paint room. - save and exit. - open the same project again, "view" starting in sculpt room with the voxel obj. The voxel obj would have this strange mushroom issue. So if i uncheck the problematic paint layer in the paint room, the voxel obj would appear to be normal again. What is going on?
  7. That is awesome. Didnt notice the thickness option when importing retopo obj. That is also a good trick for the fingers pants. Thanks for sharing your tips.
  8. @stusutcliffe I have seen similar approaches with this. Except it were done in 3d max? or blender. The approach was to use low poly sculpting and have the fingers and palm joined together by its vertices. I think i would need to brush up my soft sculpting skill by a mile first when using 3d coat for this. @sprayer That was what i was looking for. Thanks! Thanks everyone for helping! :-)
  9. Currently only pose tool seems to be able to make the fingers larger without changing the position. But that would require painting of fingers and enlarging them individually. Manual painting of fingers are so SLOWwwww...... and prone to mistake like painting on to other fingers. These are the current faster ways that i could come up with : if in surface mode , - quick pose tool = select the tip of the finger and "expand"(in tool options) - pose tool = enlarge the width of finger. if in voxel mode, - freeze tool = lasso select (ignore back face = unchecked). - as lasso select seems to be harsher with hard edge, use script (fp_multi_smooth.cpp, 100x) to smooth the freeze edge. - pose tool = enlarge the width of finger. Are there any other easier/faster ways that i should know of?
  10. I have tried duplicating and enlarging the hand copy but the position of the fingers are off. That would need more effort to make adjustment for animation rigging. Let me try this again with "pose" on fingers.
  11. This is more like a noob question, so here goes... How to create a glove? I have tried using coat but the fingers are not covered. Am i doing it wrongly?
  12. Sculpt room >> extrude (invert) with symmetry using Closed spline(tool) . Closing the "closed spline" loop will produce a gap.
  13. Sculpt room >> extrude (invert) with symmetry using Closed spline(tool) edit : hide the rest of the body parts solved it.

  16. How do i remove the ugly seam from pose tool? Tried editing the falloff but didnt manage to get anything satisfactory.
  17. Version 4.9.23 sculpt room -> smooth (voxel) doesnt work with larger brush size. Smaller brush size is fine though. Using 4.8 mil tris obj with cuda smooth boost enabled as test.
  18. The symmetry side is going from left to right and back again. Flipping sides over and over again in retopo room. version 4.09.15 .
  19. Hi, I have tried the latest BF4 version but the results are the same.
  20. Does anyone have any issue with baking results from overlapping UV islands? Is there any proper method of doing so?
  21. 4.9.10 Smart material editor window is hard fixed, making viewing changes to paint objs difficult.
  22. Not an artist, so tried to make an icon for a book with pseudo painterly look by making a 3d model. Not the best approach i supposed.
