  2. Hi guy's, i have a game character that i cannot show publicly but it is a very skinny character sculpt with all the details and i need to transform him in very muscular type of body. I have try extrude and all kind of brush available in 3d coat but nothing seem to work without losing a lot of details, so is there a tool or technique that could save me from a complete re sculpt? Thank for any advice's you can share.
  3. Thank for the info since i was not aware you could have subscription and this is exactly what i will do since i will not need it all year long in my pipeline.
  4. OK i think i understand why i was using it with the lasso stroke options and steady stroke is not working with all stroke modes and i just realize this after 1 year my bad!

Since i am using blender and i am currently very tight on a budget and after trying quadremesher i am stunned by the quality of the topology from quadremesher but at 150 $ with taxes i find it pretty steep price for one tool. So i wonder if autopo in 2021 will have any update on algorithm so it get closer to the quality level of quadremesher?
  6. Hi guys, i just download the latest version 4.9.72 and steady stroke is not working at all and i am using the build brush in voxel sculpting room? Tried to adjust steady stroke value and it has no effect at all.

Hi guy's Left 3d coat for a moment due to health issue(RSI) and i cannot find how to adjust brush strength anymore, some threads mention it's now call opacity but i don't have any opacity setting in the brush option menu? Also there is a new mechanism to create alpha but i don't see any info on this anywhere?

  11. I am using 4.8.40 and even with your settings it crash the same way! Can you please try the 3d object i provide in the link, this model was exported from blender and in blender it was retopo with the remesh modifier so maybe it is screwing the mesh in some way 3d coat don't like? I check the mesh for error and nothing show it's a perfect close mesh.
  12. Hi guy's, I start using autopo recently and it give me a lot of problem on various type of mesh even simple one like this one here at 833 faces. When i click on autopo in menu i skip every dialog to get directly to the autopo generation and a console window open and 3d coat froze there doing nothing. I had to close the program from task manager. I have include the file here and i am dying to know why i have so much problem with autopo since this happen to me on many various mesh so far. B.obj
  13. Like i have said before if it is easy to be implemented and i was the developer i would certainly do it after my priorities of course.
  14. Well in 3ds max it's exactly one keyboard shortcut to toggle wireframe in retopo workflow!

  17. Well if i am the only one who think this feature would be welcome than who are the other who vote for it on trello? I come from 3ds max and in max we really appreciate the ability to toggle the wireframe on and off and to change object color for previewing purpose. I am not talking about the doing the whole retopo with wireframe hidden just having the option for previewing purpose without having to change room or export model to other app. Also i am not bashing 3d coat in any way here i was just stunned like i have said because we are so use to this kind of features in other apps that we think it's somewhere in the options. 3D coat is an amazing set of tools but i realize like every other app out there that i would need to use multiple software in my pipeline since not a single one is a complete solution unfortunately.
  18. Thank for another workaround AbnRanger but many artists really like to have these options and some workflow are different from others. We are so used or call it spoiled by these basic options in other 3D app that when we stumble upon one not having it we are surprise. If these features do not require heavy coding then i think they could make 3D coat even more attractive to newcomers.
  19. Thank for taking it in consideration since many artists would be happy to have the option of hiding it to properly inspect their topology specially after using autopo. My workaround is not very elegant and require extra step so having it properly implemented would be a very nice addition.
  20. Many artists like to hide the wireframe when in retopo mode and they also change the retopo mesh color. Any software should always give the option to the artist to hide certain features or change color. Previewing the mesh without wireframe has many advantages like seeing proper edge flow and contour on certain type of geometry or simply to see if certain details are correctly showing specially with autopo. My dirty workaround was inspire by the one you show me in my thread about grabbing depth object.
  21. Hi Alex, I just discover a feature that should be basic in retopo room and to my surprise it was not, i mean to be able to hide wireframe on retopo Object and to change retopo Object color. I found a dirty workaround for those who might stumble on this thread : It's not elegant but for quick preview without annoying wireframe it work and it is faster than having to export in 3D app. This feature should be basic in retopo room ; hiding wireframe for preview and having option to change retopo mesh color.

Hi guy's, I did some quick test with the autopo algorithm but i cannot figure out how to hide the black wireframe on the autopo object and it made it impossible to visualize the model retopo properly? Also how can i change the color for the retopo mesh? I hope i am not going to be obligate to send the model to my 3d app to be able to see it properly since it is counter productive.
