  1. It's the scene scale @Carlosan I just scaled the model down and the problem goes away.
  2. Yes they are both at 0. Here is another shot from inside the render room showing the settings and noise happening.
  3. Any idea why the edges of my renders are turning out noisy like this? I haven't had this issue in the past. (Have a look at the end of the hockey stick - it's disappearing?). Anything near the edge of the screen is doing this.

  5. I have updated to the latest version, but still do not see this 'vase' option to adjust the cavity depths after generating the RGB Cavity map. I outlined the area in red. I'm not sure if I'm missing a step when creating a new smart material, but it's not there for me. This model is not unwrapped, I'm vertex painting this sculpt in surface mode, not sure if that has anything to do with it?
  6. Yes I did for sure. It was already checked by default. I might try to update to the latest release today and see if it's still happening.
  7. When I create a new Smart Material after doing all of this, I do not see the new Edit Icon 'Vase' option. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Using 3D Coat 2022.29.
  8. Just to add to this - I'm finding it specifically happens with symmetry turned on.
  9. After extensive use of the 'Create Free Form Cube' when creating primitives, the reset option stops working and can only be reset after closing and re-opening 3D Coat. Not sure if this is a bug? If you try using the tool and only alter it a few times it works fine, but after a while of continuous work, the reset option will no longer reset it back to it's original shape without having to restart the program. Using 3D Coat 2022.29
  10. So far I'm loving the interface. It's possible that I'm not using it properly - but the new snake tool only seems to work for me it I check "On Plane", otherwise only the first brush stroke draws anything until I switch SculptTree layers. If I turn on "On Plane' it seems to work as expected.
  11. I too am anxiously awaiting the new release, but in these times, have learned to be patient. I'm curious to know if there will be a nanomesh equivalent. I have a Pro license for 3D Coat and will always use it as my primary sculpting software of choice (I love 3D Coat), but have recently considered adding a subscription of z-brush for features like this. I'm waiting for this next release before making any further purchasing decisions. But first and foremost, I hope everyone is staying healthy, and I will remain patient.
  12. Maybe 1920 x 1080 isn't possible? It crashes when I try to render with post processing and set the format. I will update all my drivers again and try once more later, but so far, I can not render at 1920 x 1080 on my Alienware laptop.
  13. I'm starting to realize the problem is that we are setting the view size expecting it to render at that size and it does not. To render out at 1920 x 1080 I'm assuming we have to use the 'create turntable' option only.
  14. We are having issues trying to render turntables in the render room. Setting up the render to custom 1920 x 1080 - it resets back to 1920 x 1017. Is this a bug? Currently using 4.9.65 It would be better if the settings interface allowed you to setup the render format, and choose different outputs (tga, png, jpg, etc..) for the image sequence, then hit render from the setup window.
  15. How about an app link for Reallusions Character Creator. I currently have licenses for 3D Coat and Character Creator and an app link would be sweet. There is GoZ for zbrush and Character Creator. I prefer to sculpt in 3D Coat of course. Detailing props, assets and clothing for characters in 3D Coat with an App Link would be so nice. We are using it in the pipeline for our current game.
  16. Thanks for the reply. I assumed the braids would be an issue because of the verticies. For the stitching, I made that one in 3D Coat then exported. I'll have to check and see if there is an option to export with open ends from 3D Coat. The straps are the ones that are confusing me the most as they are symmetrical on top and bottom, and exported with open ends as an obj from 3ds max.
  17. Yes, here are 3 different OBJ files I created in 3ds max that I have setup as splines/curves in 3D Coat. They all produce the seam. Braid.obj Stitching.obj Strap_Diamond.obj
  18. Is there a way to avoid the seam when importing custom objects for the spline/curves. I have tried the different settings for tiling when importing but I always seem to get a seam. Maybe I'm missing something? These objects where created in 3ds max and exported as .obj before importing into 3D Coat as splines/curves. I have made sure the objects are symmetrical on the top and bottom so they should tile properly, especially the straps as they are just a box.

  20. Hello Everyone, I am currently working on designing and testing a custom library of splines for the curve tool. I'm using 3ds max to create most of the splines, as well as creating them directly in 3D Coat. When I export my objects as .obj files (from 3ds max or 3D Coat) and import them as new splines, everything works great, except the thumbnail/preview image in the splines folder is backwards. If I export the mesh backwards it shows up normal in the preview window, but then when I create new splines they tend to be flipped the wrong way. Is there any way to just rotate the preview image for the splines in the folder so they show the front of the mesh instead of the back?
  21. Thanks again for the quick reply. Just to clarify, removing the OpenCL.dll file from the older version did not seem to work for me. But, I just installed the newer version (4.9.21) and it is fixed. I will just continue with the newer version of 3D Coat. Thanks for the help.
  22. Thank you for the quick reply. I tried deleting the file, and reset my computer, but it still doesn't show up for me.
  23. The transform curve option is missing for me in 4.9.17. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? It's been there in the past.
