  1. Hi Carlosan, I have finally figured out my error - I was using Transform under "Selected" and not under "Add Geometry" . Thank you again for taking so much of your time for such a simple error on my part, and I really appreciate your help with this. All the best.
  2. Project is attached as requested. I used the highlighted 3D primitive Grenade_Base_001.3b
  3. That is exactly what I tried but doesn't work for me - the edges slide but don't move inwards as per your example. It must be me who is making an elementary mistake. Thanks for the information and time taken to assist me.
  4. Yes, I am using 2022.53 but still having difficulty. Please explain (in text if possible) steps taken one by one as I am a newbie to 3DCoat modeling and sure I am missing something and doing it incorrectly. Your time and assistance is very much appreciated.
  5. Hi Carlosan, Thank you very much for your response, but it seems as if what I need is not possible. I have done this process manually with 6 edges but it is just time-consuming. I illustrate what I am looking for :- 1) Select one edge in a 12-sided cylinder that has alternate faces extruded 2) Move all edges radially (simultaneously) in the direction as indicated by the arrows - set radial symmetry to 6, select one edge, move it and the rest follow.
  6. I have been trying to use radial symmetry in the modelling room - sometimes with and without success, probably due to my lack of knowledge. No specific issue - just trying to get it working and I have searched for guidance but not been able to find answers. Is there any wiki or detailed documentation resources that I can refer to help me? Any assistance in that regard would by much appreciated. Many thanks.
  7. Thanks so much for your assistance with my question - exactly what I needed.
  8. I upgraded from Version 4.9 to 2022 about a week back, and have created a model in the modelling that I would like to texture in the paint room. However, I can't seem to find any workflow tips or tutorials for transferring the model to the paint room for texturing and export. Any assistance in that regard would be much appreciated. Thank you all.
  9. I have started doing the same myself - it helps a lot. Wish I could save the paint layers as a new smart material - I am unable to see how to that and may not even be possible. If it is, I would like to know how - basically combining smart materials used into a new one.
