I must be doing something wrong. I don't know what it is, but it is extremely frustrating.
I have 3d Coat installed on the C:\ drive, not in a subfolder. The path is C:\3d Coat.
I start 3d Coat, it tells me there is an update. I click to update.
I run the install and verify.
I go to open 3d Coat... nothing. It says the link reference is missing.
I go to my 3d Coat folder. The 3d coat EXE is gone... most of the folder contents are gone.
Why is it so hard just to update the existing program?
Literally every other program I use, it checks folder contents, checks file dates, updates existing files that have changed and installs new files.
Done. No issues. All links work, existing preferences are maintained, etc.
Not 3d Coat.
Now I have to completely reinstall the program. Again.
Every single time I have to do this.
Why? What am I doing wrong?
I can't even find where the installer supposedly installed the update I just ran.
