  1. So, the pixel size is generally 512x512. Good to know, thank you! I noticed JPEG wasn't in your list. Is it unusable, or was it just left out because it's a lossy format? I will read that post, thank you again!
  2. Thank you for responding Carlosan... sorry, got distracted with work and life. What is that limit describing? The number of brushes? That seems... impractical. I mean, I have a LOT of alpha brushes in a lot of categories. I also looked at the thread you supplied and noted that most of my alpha brushes are 24 bit. Do I need to convert them to 16 bit? Thank you again for any assistance you can provide.
  3. I am importing alpha brushes to 2022.54. I loaded 2k JPEG alpha brushes, file sizes ranging from 500kb to 2mb. The lag in selecting the new folder or even a single brush in the folder, compared to other folders / brushes is markedly worse. As I added brush folders and alpha brush files, 3d Coat has become increasingly unresponsive to the point of being unusable. When I deleted the newly created folders and brushes, 3d Coat returned to normal. What size should brushes be? What file size should they be? My system is an AMD Threadripper 1950x, 32gb RAM and dual Nvidia Titan RTX video cards. My system isn't showing undue stress... RAM usage is at 26% (with both 3d Coat and Photoshop open), GPU usage was at 1%, and CPU usage was at 19%. Thank you in advance for guidance!
  4. I must be doing something wrong. I don't know what it is, but it is extremely frustrating. I have 3d Coat installed on the C:\ drive, not in a subfolder. The path is C:\3d Coat. I start 3d Coat, it tells me there is an update. I click to update. I run the install and verify. I go to open 3d Coat... nothing. It says the link reference is missing. I go to my 3d Coat folder. The 3d coat EXE is gone... most of the folder contents are gone. Why is it so hard just to update the existing program? Literally every other program I use, it checks folder contents, checks file dates, updates existing files that have changed and installs new files. Done. No issues. All links work, existing preferences are maintained, etc. Not 3d Coat. Now I have to completely reinstall the program. Again. Every single time I have to do this. Why? What am I doing wrong? I can't even find where the installer supposedly installed the update I just ran.
  5. I always want to have the newest version of 3d Coat installed and ready for work; but every single time I install, I have to reload all of my brushes and materials over and over again for every upgrade, even just point version upgrades. Why can't 3d Coat upgrade in place? Other users have told me to just install to the folder 3d Coat was already installed to, but that doesn't work. Why doesn't 3d Coat know that it is updating rather than doing a full install, like other software?
  6. I successfully upgraded from v4 to 2021; but when I first started 3d Coat 2021, it said I had 30 days remaining on my trial. It didn't say that on subsequent re-starts; but how do I make sure that my copy is licensed? Where do I put the license key? When I click on Show My Key, it takes me to a 404 page. Of course, I can navigate to my profile and see my purchases and keys. I just want to make sure that the software is actually fully licensed. Thanks!
